She wants to get me to the point where I wont need my
ventolin
, which would be nice. After reading peoples reviews on it, it does scare me a bit but my nurse did say it might take up to 6 weeks to take affect so keep your
ventolin
handy and that I can call in to see her any time.

Why am I gasping?
I am supposed to take Fluticasone/Salmeterol (Seretide) preventer and Salbutamol (
Ventolin
), but I have such severe and bizarre symptoms, it makes all of these, including the breathing problem, worse.

Hot and humid!
I've just been put on Fostair Nexthaler and it has helped slightly, I was previously taking my
ventolin
at least 4 times a week! But getting a few side effects but the nurse seems to think they'll go after a few weeks!

Scared stiff by Dr today
told me do not worry look after yourself it should never affect you, I smoked when I was young for about 10 years, I also have asthma, a spirometry test 3 years ago confirmed asthma, now I have been constantly a little short of breath and a bit wheezy for a couple of months without much relief from

Fostair NEXThaler
I've been railroaded into having Fostair NEXThaler by the Asthma nurse at my surgery , I've been on Clenin Modulute 250 mcg , salbutamol and salmetarol , 2 puff of each twice a day, for over 30 years ( back then it was Becotide and
Ventolin
) and my asthma has been in control .

Well, that was interesting!
Had my
Ventolin
with me, sat down for five, and wrote here - was really angry and upset I couldn't even jog gently for 30 secs. Calmed down, looked around and started Laura again - and managed the whole 30 secs!

Poorly controlled Asthma?
I haven't actually used the
ventolin
as much as perhaps I have wanted to because I wanted to see what difference my peak flows would be without the
ventolin
. In the morning, at about 7.30 am, my peak flow is between 620 and 650 (roughly).

Tobacco smoke entering work space
I've now become sensitised to the smoke and every time I smell it have to use my blue
Ventolin
to relive that tightness and feeling of liquid filling up in my lungs. Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

New inhaler given after my first review.
As some of you may know I was diagnosed by spiro test with a fev1/fvc of 70.3% reduced to 69.5 % after using a
ventolin
inhaler. Doctor wasnt really wanting to give me anything saying at thr time "wait till everyday life is harder on you".

Rattling
I've been taking my
Ventolin
a bit more too. I have been coughing as well. I've done my peak flow reading which is 450, about normal for me now. I know this might sound a daft question but I'm not really sure if I should be going to the doctor about this.

Has anyone else been told to use Pulmicort nebs after exercising?
He, like my consultant, do not want me to stop exercising, I explained I was having to use a lot of
Ventolin
to get through a work out. He said that as I had a nebulizer at home, I could try a pulmicort nebs after exercising. I have never heard of this before? Has anyone else?

A few words of advice/encouragement please. Possible Lupus/MCTD/vasculitis.
Eventually, after numerous blood tests and nothing showing that required immediate attention, just the usual- Bonjela, antibiotics, "do some exercise' Omeprazole,
Ventolin
, my GP suggested I go to counselling for health anxiety and depression and offered me anti-depressants.
