Pre-empt a chest infection?
I have started taking 2 puffs of
ventolin
every 4 hours in the hope it will not only help peak flow, but open my airways to try and cough up the bugs. Any other suggestions?

Does anyone else not use their actual best Peak Flow?
So, at my new surgery I stopped avoiding reviews and my PEF was 420, though I'd taken near maximum
ventolin
. Anyway, a few weeks later I scored 440 but none of my other scores were that high, so instead it was based off the other higher score I'd got - 430.

Your Meds (Strong Recommendation)
By the way, I also found listed 'risks' for
Ventolin
and Prednisolone while using Erythromycin, but have 'not' yet decided whether those 'risks' warrant a question for my GP /Pharmacist.

Has anyone seen GMB?
was obviously needing to be seen A couple of weeks ago I went to the GP after going to A&E the night before and wheezing again and all she did was listen and sent me home with a prescription of prednisolone which I took as soon as I got home and by that time I was really wheezy but I just took 10

Can Flu Trigger an Asthma Attack?
Finally, I started to (maybe) put two and two together and I reached for my
Ventolin
inhaler. The cough eased for about an hour. Question: Could a virus trigger CVA?

Does it always feel like this
Last week or so, it just feels like I am suffocating, can't get my breath and
ventolin
is next to no help, but don't want to seem like I'm bugging my already very busy doc

Guidance for colleagues - brittle asthma
I have registered with the text 999 service, but my
ventolin
makes me so shaky that I don't know how well I'd be able to text in an emergency, and I feel that having to do this myself would make me more panicked, which also would make my asthma worse Thanks in advance :)

Worst night ever!
Tried to explain it was just the
ventolin
but made me go anyway. Well after a 2 hour wait i saw a nurse who was more worried about me having a blood clot or heart attack, never mind my peak flow was at 280 and i was struggling to breathe!

111, 999 or nothing?????
Went to nurse and she gave me a
ventolin
inhaler. Went back 2 days later as had got worse and she gave me a brown steroid inhaler. My peakflow was 340, should be around 440. 2 days ago I had an emergency sit and wait appointment with gp. My peakflow was 250.

S/C bronchodilator infusions & syringe drivers
Hello all, I have s/c
ventolin
which I use currently via a Graseby MS26 syringe driver.... I did have two Grasebys but one went wrong last week and I swapped it on the ward for a McKinley T34 syringe driver. I know the Grasebys are more or less obsolete now.

Not sure what to do
Didn’t eat any dinner, went to bed and fell asleep quite quickly after 4 puffs of
ventolin
. Woke up at midnight, then again at 4, had six puffs and went back to sleep for about half an hour before getting up for work.

Hypothyroidism & Asthma - any link?
Recently told I have asthma and given a
ventolin
inhaler to try for a few weeks. My question is regarding a link between the two conditions - Is anyone aware of a direct relationship? I’ve read that asthma can go hand in hand with autoimmune conditions but what about specifically hashimotos?
