I am having a tough time on Ven. I have been dealing with Gastro issues and now lots of muscle and joint pain. I am on Ven 7 months now, and the side effects are really kicking in. Headache, dizziness, joint and muscle pain, and Gastro issues. Oh and did I mention fatigue and weakness? I’m worried my

MRD Negative in the bone Marrow for CLL / SLL after 15 Months on Imbruvica plus Venetoclax - Captivate trial.
I am told by by UCSD that many people on
Venetoclax
plus Gayzva are staying in remission after about 2 years but others have had to go back on the drugs. In my opinion If we can pulse the medications on and off that could at minimum buy us time.

I have been on ibruitinib since April 2017 and having had a good response initially, my WBC has levelled between 72 and 60 in the last 4 months so the decision was taken to move onto
Venetoclax
. After a few weeks waiting for a bed, I finally began treatment last Friday and so far all is well.

Remission with Ibrutinib and Venetoclax
This week marks the sixth period of 28 days with Ibrutinib and 4th period combination with
Venetoclax
of my trial (Vision trial, Netherlands).I officially reached a remission already. Very good results on blood work, almost all normal. I had a succesful coloscopy to exclude any gut nastyness.

Road to a BMT... oops just got there (Day +101)
And we were very set against it - however it became our last option and the decision was made for us, his 2nd relapse was very aggressive and he was already showing signs of failing on
venetoclax
after a few short months.

Loss of a great man
Two days later he was put on
Venetoclax
. The Ven severely lowered his counts, and we ended up spending over 24 days as an inpatient. I never left his side. The Ven was stopped on 17 Nov 2017.

Neutropenia with Ibrutinib
My father was taken off
Venetoclax
due to a limited response and developing neutropenia. He is currently on Ibrutinib and his neutrophils are going down again at an alarming rate. His neutrophils restored and were stable. I saw the 3yo posts with similar problems but nothing recently.

Ibrutinib / Venetoclax (Ramp up)
Yesterday I started
Venetoclax
and was at the hospital all day. So far so good. As I write this I'm at MD Anderson waiting for results before I can take V again. Sometimes I feel sick to my stomach and feel dizzy but I think its because my body is trying to get use to the drugs.

CLL Programme on BBC Radio 4
., there is a programme on BBC Radio4 on CLL; seems to be focussing on a
Venetoclax
/Ibrutinib trial at Leeds. Reporter is Simon Cox, a senior BBC reporter who has CLL. There is also a "story" on the BBC News app today (6th).

Venetoclax and fatigue
I started
venetoclax
14 months ago and have done very well re: ALC and no real fatigue - until the past few months. I am really wasted by 7pm, which is new since having started
venetoclax
. My hemoglobin is down from 42 to 36, which may be somewhat explanatory.
