I took Avonex for 10 years,
Tysabri
for just under 2 years. Plegridy for 5 months, raised my liver enzymes. I have been on Aubagio since last Oct. I am doing well on this medication. Improvements on my physical exams.

I'm new here
I am currently on
Tysabri
for the past two years. My neurologist is suggesting that I go on Ocrevus? Anyone out there on Ocrevus? How is it working for you?

Ocrevus Talk with Neuro
One other thing we talked about it is that there is now a recommendation for patients switching from
Tysabri
to Ocrevus to have steroids during the time period from the last dose of
Tysabri
to the first dose of Ocrevus.

Ocrevus news...this confirms my fears
It doesn't lessen my fear of switching from
Tysabri
to Ocrevus and being vulnerable to PML for some unknown period of time.

Genentech Reports PML Case with Ocrevus
This happened in a JC virus-positive patient who had stopped taking
Tysabri
in February after being on it for three years and switched to Ocrevus with a first dose given in April. Carry-over or not, it is something to think about before switching medications.

Exacerbations
I was immediately put on
Tysabri
for treatment and I have not had any relapses or new lesions so I guess it's working as it should. My dilemma is I didn't have any noticeable symptoms before I was diagnosed.

Trying to keep myself together!!
I restarted
Tysabri
almost 2 months ago. (Next infusion this Friday!) My JC went down enough that my Dr feels that it is safe for me again. I am so glad to be back on it too!! Since i am alone now and it doesn't seem to be changing any time soon.

Prescribing Info for Ocrevus
I was doing a google search tonight trying to find information about switching from
Tysabri
to Ocrevus. I have been wondering if there are any issues going from immunosuppressent that operates on T-Cells to one that operates on B-Cells.

Convo with my neurologist about Ocrevus.
He has ordered blood tests as the first step towards switching me from
Tysabri
. I'm in the high PML risk category so he has been wanting to switch me off of
Tysabri
for some time. If I 'pass' the blood tests, then we go to the next step.

MS in dreams
That's scary as I only have one infusion of
Tysabri
next Wednesday and then, I don't know 🤷♀️. I live the battle against the monster everyday already and now it is also in my dreams. 😡 Please tell me I'm not the only one? Love you all and God Bless you.

Waiting on Ocrevus!
I've been on
Tysabri
for over two years now and I am J.C. virus positive. My J.C. virus count is up to the 2.0 range, so, I am anxious for Ocrevus to be approved by the insurance companies. Next, it has to released to the big pharmacy companies before it is ready for the general public.

More cautionary info about Ocrevus
(I'm JVC positive, have an index over 2.0 and have 5 years of
Tysabri
under my belt so I'm in the higher PML risk category.) Now I'm not so sure based on things I've been reading.

WE ARE NOT ALONE!
I did not do well on
Tysabri
and have been without treatment since Nov. 16. I attended a health session on Lemtrada on Monday, March 13 and a dr's appt on March 15. Some days I just feel overwhelmed and have no idea what is the next step to take. This week was no exception!

Gilenya process
I'm starting the transfer from
Tysabri
to Gilenya in the next few weeks. My neurologist ask me "where do I want to do my first dose at the cardiologist office or at home (The medicine company will pay to have someone come to your house to monitor you)"?

Checking In 2017
I have been on
Tysabri
since 2014. Overall, I have responded well to the only medicine that I have taken for MS. Occasionally, I do have a spell of dizziness and being off balance. I hope others are doing as well as I am. Just keep a positive attitude and keep busy.

Undecided
I currently take
Tysabri
(last 10 years) and was asked about switching to Gilenya. I'm pretty comfortable with
Tysabri
and haven't had any relapses in many years but because of the threat of PML and since it has been 10 years, is it time to switch.

Thankful
I was on
Tysabri
. However, was never comfortable because of risk of PML. I am sorry if I sound like I am complaining but I needed to vent. I know there is so much to be thankful for despite MS. Everyday I wake up is a blessing! My daughter is in college, playing sports and doing well academically.
