ESR blood test
just wondering whether anyone knows if Thyroxine affects ESR blood test results. Having taken higher dose of thyroxine for a few weeks now my TSH has reduced considerably from 4.62 to 1.6 but an ESR blood test was done at the same time and is now above the reference range and registered at 24. 13 months post thyroidectomy fatigue
I can't seem to find the right dose. Hair loss, dry skin, puffy face, sirens in ears!, severe fatigue.
I was on 75 for 4 days, 88 three days. TSH was 1.16. Up from .69. I felt better and then BAM after 8 weeks terrible body spasms, and more. TSH was 6.01! Doctors: back to 88 for 6 days and 75

Help, need your help
My TSH is .37 so I am low. Do I need to take a higher dose of Synthroid or a lower dose of Synthroid. I can’t remember how that works. My T3 and T4 are within normal ranges.

Hello everyone, I have been a reader of the forum for a while now and it is nice to know so many other people are struggling with un-resolved thyroid problems. This forum was the first place where I thought wow, these guys get it. I have hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome, I was diagnosed with MS

Do My Symptoms Have Anything To Do With My Lowered Levo?
I am getting so fed up. The doctor put my Levo down from 100mcg to 75mcg a few months ago, she wouldn’t have it that I felt better on a higher dose. I’m pretty sure I talked about this previously in a post. But lately my digestion has been bad, I am so tired in the afternoon that I’m yawning a lot

are hot flushes associated with hypothyroidism?
I’m in the process of being investigated for hypothyroidism, after a couple of private blood tests, most recent showing TSH of 5.06 mIU/l, free T3 of 3.9 pmol/l, free T4 14.3 pmol/l, TPO Ab 41.7 kIU/l My GP has been very supportive and has me booked for these tests to be repeated on the NHS to confirm

strange thyroid blood results
my wife is subclinical Hypo, been on 1 grain of Thyroid-S for the past couple of years. Started HRT in Aug 2023, blood test done in Dec, numbers had gone down, increase to 2 grain. Last bloodwork done Mar 2024. Numbers gone down again but TSH is now suppressed. I’m completely confused. Any thoughts

My Endocrinology appointment review no help! and my 1300 tpo just a small blip quote from endocrinologist (see my previous post)
My endo didn’t say anything to help I don’t have hypothyroidism and told her how unwell I am basically she doesn’t know what’s refused to help me and said she will repeat test in a few weeks . She didn’t care about the results of private bloods they mean notching and tpo doesn’t mean autoimmune thyroiditis

Hypothyroidism help
I had a thyroidectomy in 1984, to remove benign growths. The surgeon said about 25% thyroid remained, but he thought I would not need subsequent medication. I was not told to have regular thyroid function tests, and carried on with my busy life. After unrelated throat surgery in 1997, my consultant asked

I have Graves with mild TED, on :5mg Carbmizole and T4 and T4 back into normal range with TSH catching up slowly. I find tired especially in the afternoons. Is it low TSH, or Carbmizole ormy body recovering?

Thyroid Receptor Ab
Hi Just had an additional test back the endo requested ahead of initial apt. Thyroid Receptor Ab (TRAb?) which was middle range at < 1.5 iu/l. (Range:0 - 3.3 iu/l) Is this a Graves disease test? Otherwise High TSH, positive TPO, low nutrients. And inflammation markers up. Just wondered if this TRAb
