Post eye operation vision. Experience of distortion and epiretinal membrane
I had a
trabeculectomy
five weeks previously. Still blurry vision but I know this is the norm and a lot has been discussed.

Recommended lubricant drops
I'm 2 weeks post
trabeculectomy
, currently on dexamethasone 2 hourly and chloromphenical 4x/day. Last weekend I had some grittiness in the eye (irritation from the stitch). All sorted now - surgeon trimmed the stitch at last appointment.

Trabeculectomy
Hi, been a casual stalker as i didn't think my eye was as bad as others but have decided to post. Anyway after nearly 5yrs of drops, at my last clinic the pressure had risen to 30, went again about 4 days later and it was now 38. I was given some extra drops (iopidine) and Diamox tablets to bring it

Disc Hemorrhaging
I will be having a
trabeculectomy
in one eye, then after the other eye. Has anyone else had a disc hemorrhage and if so what happened? Thank you. I am new and finding the site very helpful!

Trabeculectomy in Warwickshire
I was wondering, has anyone on here had
Trabeculectomy
surgery with Mr Toor at Warwick hospital? What was your experience?

Trabeculectomy surgery fear and changes to eyes appearance
Hi, I've recently been told I need
trabeculectomy
surgery for my normal tension glaucoma. I'm terrified! On top of the fear of the actual procedure I'm worried that it might change the appearance of my eye. Does it?

Trabeculectomy
I’ve read numerous posts from people who have had eye surgery and in particular
trabeculectomy
surgery who have experienced so many post operative complications and also needing further surgery. My glaucoma consultant has advised me to have surgery but I’m undecided?

Does Glaucoma always spread to other eye?
I am on drops for both eyes - 3 types - and have had a
trabeculectomy
in the left eye which still seems to be deteriorating although pressures taken every couple of months are at between 11 - 15. I have passed the DVLA test but I am now on an annual licence.

Bleb massage
I'd never heard of that before, and the only time anything like that was done, was by the consultants post
Trabeculectomy
. I try to massage them often, but do forget. But was told that 4 or 5 times a day helps lower the IOC pressures.

Success with IOPs of 6-8 with a trabeculectomy?
I have have normal tension glaucoma brought about from Lasik surgery which gave me very thin corneas. Though my IOPs range from 10-15, I would need an IOP as low as possible, however, I am frightened of severe hypotony. I live in the U.S. and the surgeons don't go into detail as much as those in

Trabeculectomy panicking
Hi everyone, just got back from seeing consultant and he wants to carry out a trab op. I nearly broke down in front of him. I feel sick with worry and anxiety. Don't know how I'm going to go through with it. Can anyone help me I'm feeling so depressed. Thank you

Light at the end of the tunnel
I've known for many years I have glaucoma in my right eye, have lost quite a lot of sight, had a
trabeculectomy
in 2015, cataract removal in 2018 (both very straightforward) and still put in drops.

Stitches out - relief
I had a right eye
trabeculectomy
in 2018 due to eye pressure peaking at 50+. It did a great job of getting my eye pressure down to low teens but since then I've had constant dry eye issues despite a rigorous cleaning and maintenance schedule, and every type of lubricant known.

I survived the Trabeculectomy
Had my Trab on Thursday and I’ve come out the other side 😊. So, so pleased it’s all over. Apart from the recovery of course and the gazillions of drops you have to put in your eye 😂. I don’t actually feel as bad as I thought I would. Eye is a bit blurry which is normal apparently. Due to see the consultant

Struggling with depression
I have glaucoma in both eyes..had
trabeculectomy
in both eyes in 2019. Since then I’ve had a needling in the one eye and now the pressure is raised in the other eye. I also have a problem with my cornea in both eyes …one worse than the other….caused by dry eyes I think.

Trabeculectomy problem
My husband had a
trabeculectomy
a week ago and all went well until 2 days post op when his eye pressure went up to 45 and his vision became very blurry. It was discovered that the flap that had been made in the eye had become stuck together with dried blood so was not working.

Anyone had to massage eye themselves post trabeculectomy ?
I have just had my one week post
trabeculectomy
check up and I am healing well, possibly too well !!! My IOP was up at 30 but consultant got it down to 10 by massaging lower lid. I bled a lot during op and needed a massage following day to break up blood clot which was blocking bleb.
