Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who answered my question about taking Antibiotics with
Tocilizumab
. I should have looked at my leaflet but I had so much going on I didn’t think about that. I was trying to sort out my prescription and had 2 men digging up my front path to lay cables for fibre broadband.

Over Exercise?!!!
Plan now is to be on
Tocilizumab
injections asap with further reduction of steroids. My question is regarding exercise. I forgot to ask the consultant when she showed me the results of PET Scan ( Dec.) with evident inflammation of the aorta. Inflammation down now CRP 10 and ESR 27!

CHANGE OF BIOLOGIC TREATMENT
I am actually having
Tocilizumab
weekly injections. My rheumatologist is now considering trying another biologic. I was sent 3 leaflets to look at and decide which might be the best for me.. So the 3 biologics are: ADALIMUMAB, GOLIMUMAB and CERTOLIZUMAB PEGOL.

Think I've made a big mistake over flu vaccine!
I'm on weekly injections of
Tocilizumab
for GCA. I can't believe how stupid I've been as it could have easily been kept cold with my other injections. Any advice or reassurance would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.

CCR6 & CCL20 are the key drivers in prostate tumor microenvironment.
I am talking about three
FDA-approved medications, Infliximab,
, and Etanercept. These drugs all indirectly block CCL20.

Facial numbness/tingling and congestion
I have been taking medrol (methyprednisolone) and
Tocilizumab
and just decreased to 12 mg medrol, which is the equivalent of 15 mg. prednisone.

First biosimilar to tocilizumab approved in Europe
The patent for
tocilizumab
ran out recently - and this is the first drug to take advantage of that. A biosimilar is a biologic medical product that is almost an identical copy of an original product that is manufactured by a different company.

GCA flare
Why I'm boring you with this is that he said he's going to put in for another
Tocilizumab
funding - I pointed out that I've had a year, ending last August, and had been told categorically that I wasn't allowed any more.

Rheumatoid Arthritis and pain across shoulders
He is on
tocilizumab
infusions every four weeks. When he spoke to one of the RA doctors about it (not his favourite one!) he was told it was due to 'scar tissue'. During the day he mainly copes with it, but at night it causes him a lot of pain. He tends to sleep on his side.

When meds wear off two days before next dose…
Tocilizumab
has been my silver bullet for the past almost 3 years. However, I have been getting break through, mini flare in the year.

Painful feet, back, thighs
I started on 60mg prednisolone and have now reduced to 7mg/6mg with the help of
Tocilizumab
/Actemra injections for one year, now stopped, and methotrexate 10mg per week, which I am still on. I have had one relaps last summer but have been ok since, apart from the usual side- effects.

Chickenpox and immune suppressed
I take predisilone and
Tocilizumab
for GCA although Pred. now down to 3mg. So I am due to look after my 2 year old Grandson tomorrow for my daughters birthday treat to Thorpe Park and it looks like he has chicken pox.

Tocilizumab - end of the year's treatment
I just thought I'd pass this on - I saw my consultant last week, just as I was coming to the end of my year's TCZ. (Exactly three years since I contracted GCA, now on 3 mgs Pred. ) The conversation as to whether there'd be an extension was quick: the answer was no, she said there was no point in even

Bunions! 🦶🏻🦶🏻
My worry is that my
Tocilizumab
might stop working if I have a break, as one of my other meds did when I had to have a break from it. I have been told that
Tocilizumab
is my last biologic as I have had 6!!

Tocilizumab
Has anyone had
Tocilizumab
injections for pmr? I've been looking at recent research which seems to suggest favourable outcomes for pmr sufferers who have problems tapering prednisolone.

Totally desperate and abandoned (sorry- this is a long rant)
I know I am one of the lucky ones to have been given
Tocilizumab
in the first place, BUT it is totally reprehensible, and discriminatory (this condition after all, mainly affects elderly ladies).

Stopped Tocilizumab, CRP rising, is it a GCA flare?
I'm hoping to find someone else who had GCA, has stopped taking steroids and stopped
Tocilizumab
(Actemra), to know how their journey went from then on without treatment. I was diagnosed with GCA over 3 years ago.
