Home Nebuliser
Hi All, It's that time of year again for me when the hay fever kicks in setting off my asthma, I saw my consultant a couple of weeks ago & he wants me to have a nebuliser at home as I avoid going to A&E even when I know I should, because I have non wheezy asthma - prompting inexperienced Drs to tell

Kenalog
Hi - sorry in advance if this turns into a moany post. I am having a mixed reaction to the kenalog injection I had last Monday. So far the big positive is a big improvement in my skin - it is normally covered in allergic rashes and eczema and there still is rashy bits but not nearly so much. Asthma

EMERGENCY KIT FOR ASTHMA
Hello all, I was diagnosed last year at age 63, with adult onset asthma. It has been quite a journey and some very scary times. My asthma or wheezing generally starts at night. It wakes me and is difficult to get my air. I am on two inhalers for long term management and one emergency inhaler. I

Nebuliser for first time
I have just been seen by an ambulance crew and nebulised for the first time. It was scary because my reliever wasn't having any effect and I had difficulty speaking. Fortunately I felt a lot better after the nebuliser. Off to see a doc in a few hours. My peak flow has been declining over the past couple

Waiting to Exhale
Besides all the wonderful side effects and surprises Hepatitis C and Cirrhosis produce, I was wondering if anyone else is having any lung problems ( I never smoked cigarettes ) The x-rays showed My liver is swollen to the point that it is making it impossible to exhale correctly. The pulmonary dr said

Viral wheeze help please
I'm not new to this - my son was 3 in February and has had recurrent viral wheeze incidences since having bronchialitis at 9 months. He's been admitted 11 times and seen in A&E more times than I can count. I just wondered if anyone had any advice? Either of how to cope with this - I'm a single working

Two years on.
Hi to all the community, I was told 2 years ago that I had difficult to control asthma after being rushed to hospital. The doctors found that I had pick up viral bronchitis that my body was not able to fight on it's own. On top of this it also set of late onset asthma. Fast ward to four weeks ago when

A Carer's frustration
Over several years, I have become increasingly more heavily involved in caring for an elderly relative of my ex ( ex is blind so still running around after him too...) The gentleman still smokes, has been hospitalised twice for exacerbation of COPD but stable for over a year but is now not going up to
