What would you do?
Okay. So last Wednesday I went to the out of hours GP for what I thought was a chest infection however I was rushed round to A&E and kept in over night on a nebuliser and put on steroids. The one doctor stated i could possibly have had a virus. When the consultant came to see me, she asked me to see

Have any of you been diagnosed with aspergillosis?
I was diagnosed back in November and prescribed anti fungal medication and steroid nebuliser. I had never heard of this ailment before and wondered if anyone else was a sufferer.

At what point do I really need to go to A&E?
Hi. New to all this. Started about 14mths back with a case of oh dear, why can't I breathe. NHS helpline said get to A&E. Went. Had nebuliser with something else and some steroids. Kicked out next morning with blue Ventolin, pf meter and that was it. Over next few weeks had a couple more can't breathe

New asthmatic feeling fed up and unsupported

Bronchiectasis with colonised psudamonas. I am new on here, and having trouble with medication given to me through a nebuliser. Been tried on Colomicin twice, but causing breathing problems, also given tobramycin and gentamicin, same problem. Consultant says he can't give me anything else, just have

Small victories?
After struggling on for a couple of weeks without really improving I gave in today and headed in to A&E 😭 But taking victories where I get them - it’s the first time I haven’t been rushed through to resus in about 18 months!! “Only” requiring back to back nebs in majors at the moment 😂 fingers crossed

Common cold
The common cold:. I have a cold, nothing to worrying or earth shattering, however to anyone out there, with lung conditions. I have asthma and bronchiectasis, Avoid where possible anyone with one. I started off sniffing,, sneezing by Thursday this week was totally floored. Friday couldn't get out of

Final waved the white flag 🏳️😅
So after ignoring and putting up with my asthma for about a month and just treatment at home, I’ve finally given in and rung of an ambulance. I decide that when I couldn’t get my PF to maintain above 40% despite nebs I should probably seek help. 😅🤫 Great fun with the ambulance coordinator on the phone

So following on from my previous post..
What i thought was a bit of an asthma flair turned out to be a full attack! Out of hours sent me to a n e where i had nebs and magnesium. Unfortunatly i reacted to the magnesium with really low blood pressure and high hr. Anyone else had a reaction? I am currently awaiting a bed and the pred paranoia

Seriously struggling
Hey everyone, I’ve been having a flare up since mid October with a nebuliser and steroids given yesterday morning at the out of hours doctors. I went to see a nurse practitioner yesterday as the doctor wanted me to go on a reducing dose of steroids but she refused saying the wheeze is now upper respiratory

Continuous bad attacks
Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice/reassurance as I’ve got to the point where I’m just so fed up of my asthma. My attacks seem to have taken on a new pattern; years ago I’d be bad about every six months, then the pattern started to be about every month/couple of months (my hormones trigger

Saline nebs when ill
Anyone else here use saline nebs when they’re ill? They don’t help my bronchi to open up or anything but they make it easier to cough properly. They were recommended to me a few hospital stays back just for when I’ve got a cold or I’m in a flare or something but it occurs to me it’s not a common thing

Walking the tightrope
What do you do when you’re at the beginning of a flare and you’re not great but not bad enough to see anyone/do anything?😬😅 I’m currently on a very slow downwards spiral which feels different to usual due to starting mepo I think. I’m quite tight and have a poor PF (45-60%), but otherwise no (or very
