Been told by Dr surgery I will have to take braltus instead of spiriva is it a cost thing?
Had a letter from my doc surgery saying that have been reviewing prescriptions are changing my
tiotropium
(spiriva) capsule to Braltus capsules. I am a little concerned as I am very happy with spiriva and i am being forced to change. Anyone else use Braltus inhaler capsuls & are they ok.

Change of Medicine
I have just collected my 2 month repeat prescription and see that they have given me Braltus
tiotropium
instead. My query is that Spriva was 18 mg. and these are only 10 mg so to me as a complete layman(woman) they are only half the strength or am I looking at it wrong.

Tiotropium
Hello, I've been asking my friends who suffer from asthma too and someone mentioned a
Tiotropium
inhaler? I've researched it and think that I may benefit from using this as it's meant to work wonders without having to use prednisone as I'm allergic to them.

Concerned
I'm on salbutamol spray,
tiotropium
bromide spray, spiromax (in place of salbutamol) and montelukast tablets. Cetirizine for allergies The asthma not so good. I think it's the weather and I though having the rescue tablets the doc said to have I'd be ok considering my peak flow!

I'm new here ...
I am currently on 10mg prednisolone, uniphyllin,
Tiotropium
and Fostair inhalers and take azithromycin 3 times a week to try to prevent further infections. I have recently started feeling very down. I am no longer the person I used to be as I can't do the things I used to.

New medication
Hi all My respiratory consultant has prescribed me carbocisteine to try in addition to taking Symbicort 400,
Tiotropium
bromide and Montelukast. The pharmacist 'warned' me that they would make me sleepy (and nauseous) but the leaflet says I can operate machinery and drive etc.

Nebulisers
Just simple saline the other night and ventolin plus a Similar one to my
tiotropium
inhaler today. Renders me terrible breathless and wheezy and drives doctors mad! Anyone else had a similar problem? It started with nebulised antibiotics but has just got worse over time. Upsetting.

Is asthma a disability
I am continuing with Symbicort but now also use
Tiotropium
Bromide in the morning. In addition I have been put back on Montelukast for the third time. Since finishing the steroids two weeks ago, my chest has gradually become tighter, wheezier and I am getting breathless when walking.

Lung Volume Reduction using Pulmonary Valves. (Revisited)
After a spell in hospital about two years ago, I realised that Spiriva (
Tiotropium
Bromide, a 24hour controlled release drug), wasn't giving me the supposed 24 hour cover. In fact, I doubt I was even getting 16 hours.

Lung denerving
‘Until now, we have been able to reverse this using inhaled medications such as
tiotropium
, helping to open up the airways. ‘This new approach means that instead of giving medication which block the effects of the nerves, we are destroying the nerves which supply these areas.
