Tissue Press Method for Instilling Eyedrops
Hello from Canada. While I am new here, I am not new to glaucoma. I’ve been taking drops for 10 years and have had two SLT surgeries. Covid delays have really slowed testing and seeing an opthamologist so I am really not sure about the progression of my glaucoma. I have to wait until April for a visual

BP raised since taking Atorvastatin.
Good morning everyone, I am sure it is a coincidence but I have for the last month had an average BP of 129/75 on Amlodipine 10mg tablets and Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg tablets. ( I measure 3 times a day am , before dinner and before bed) Usually in the Morning it was below 120 /76. Five days ago I

PERSISTENT COUGH
Hello Everyone.. I am new here and would appreciate your comments. I stopped smoking in May 2004. Since early 2005, I developed the most irritating cough which comes & goes very often. I am under a Consultant and he wants to send me to the "cough hospital" as, like my GP, he is totally baffled. I

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (PoTS) in 68 year old woman?
I have had L*** C**** for over 18 months including loss of smell and breathlessness, plus raised BP and now what appears to be PoTS on standing up, with HR over 125 (DIY diagnosis at HR rises 30 points on standing). I have had clear lung X-rays, an echocardiogram which was good, and phone appointment

Hello I’m fairly new to this site and you all seem such a cohesive and friendly family. I was diagnosed with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma in July of this year following a couple of subconjunctival haemorrhages in my left eye. It’s stable now with Dorzolamide/Timolol eyedrops and I visit the Eye Clinic

Timolol side effects?
From the day I was diagnosed with glaucoma about two months ago my eyesight seems worse, with glare, blurriness and dry, gritty eyes. That was also the day I was switched from latanoprost to latanoprost/timolol. Can timolol cause all of the above? I had SLT three weeks ago and I am waiting for check-up

Beta Blocker (Bisoprolol or Propanolol) for long-term management of high-BP?
I have consistently high-BP, which I've had for many years. The problem I have is with the Systolic (which consistently comes in the 140s or 150s range, which is considered too high nowadays). My Diastolic has always been fine. I currently take a Calcium-channel blocker (Verapamil), a Angiotensin-receptor

Trabeculectomy
Hi, Just had a field vision test showing more sight loss in 1 eye and increased pressure. I have been on latanoprost and timolol but consultant has now added brinzolomide but tells me if that does not help I need a trabulectomy. (Which he longer does as not now working for NHS) My concern is that

New med (again)
Blood test results show very little to be concerned about except very high uric acid levels! GP and myself both put this down to being on bendroflumethiazide. So now I have been prescribed nebivolol (some may recall my issues with bisoprolol) . I am happy with this. I feel I have a plan in place now

Blood Pressure tablets.
Can anyone help in regard to blood pressure tablets that do not have much in the way of side-effects. Currently I am taking Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg which are fine. Because my blood pressure is now slightly raised I need to take a different tablet. I have tried Amlodipine and Rampril 2.5 mg - both

Blood Pressure tablets
I have raised blood pressure. Prof. Graham Hughes recommended Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg tablets. These have been very good. However my blood pressure has risen slightly - I have tried amlodipine 5mg and also Ramipril 2.5mg and I have had side effects from both. My GP is not very helpful. Anybody
