Help with my daughter's results please
Hi, My daughter is 40 years old and a senior secondary school teacher. She's been ill more or less continuously for the past nine or ten years, and getting worse. She's 5ft 7in tall and used to be a size 8. She is really obese now. She has a fairly small apetite but admits to drinking too much white

Would an iodine supplement help?
I still don't feel well (very tired and the most dreadful brain fog which has stopped me driving) and wondered how I would know if an iodine supplement might help? Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Latest Medichecks results - stopped taking b12 liquid 2 weeks before test. Taking Spatone, VitaminD

Ferritin
I have just had an Advanced Thyroid Test from Medichecks. My Free T4 and Free T3 may look good but I have been getting a return of my symptoms so have upped my NDT from 2.5 grains to 3. It is my ferritin which I am not happy about. Is it too low? I eat very little red meat which is probably why it is

Prescribed levothyroxine at last!
After a long struggle, you know how it goes... I have finally been offered a trial of levothyroxine by a GP. My Medichecks results in 2020 were ignored by my GP (serum TSH 6 range 0.7-4.2) plus presence of large amount of antibodies. NHS ones kept coming back 'normal'. A different GP agreed to

Advice needed - T3 levels
I was diagnosed with sub-clinical underactive thyroid in 2016. My test results were TSH 7.91 (0.27 - 4.2); T4 12.2 (12 - 22); T3 4.4 (3.1 - 6.8) I was started on 25 mcg Levo, which over the years has been titrated up to 112 mcg. Iāve been monitoring levels via private blood tests every 3-6 months

Need advice on what to do next!
Recently diagnosed with Hashimotos following endocrinologist appt, which was actually to investigate causes for my hair loss (lost 60% of hair after covid vaccination, then Covid itself in early 2022). Also been suffering other symptoms for around 2 years - weight gain, tired all the time, joint pains

Charlatan or science?
hi folks, I am awaiting diagnosis of Graveās disease and during the last 3 months since my blood tests via the NHS and the waiting game to see an endocrinologist, I have been researching hyperthyroidism. The internet is FULL of people claiming there is a link between micro biome and leaky gut and Graves

Symptoms
Tsh 12.5 miu/lT4 16.4 pmol/l Both have improved since my last thyroid blood test but these past few weeks I have shortness of breath and pain in my neck. Could this be down to my t4 been too high even though its within range. Thanks

Is there anyone on here who has had a partial or full thyroidectomy in Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire who would be happy to share their experience, good or bad, and provide any tips/advice? Having had nodules for a number of years, one of mine increased in size in Jan 22. It has recently been categorised

TSH/T3/T4/Vit B & D results
My previous Endo (private) retired last October and the new one (private) that I was suggested to see immediately reduced my Lio from 100 to 75 & the T3 from 20 to 10. Originally I had wanted to see an NHS Endo 3 years ago but none were available, hence the private route. My readings are T4 18.8 -

Follow up T3 question
Okay, so, it has only recently reached my consciousness that the fact that my thyroid "died" (I got a goiter and my TSH was only barely above "normal" so at first they didn't want to treat me even though I gained 30lbs in a month and lost all my body hair and on and on) at the exact same moment (literally

working out what my results mean
Firstly thank you for all the help Iāve received already with my numerous questions. My question today is how do I fully understand the percentage through range? I have posted my results before and Iāve been told my t3 is low and Iām a poor converter. As an example my most recent results are:- TSH

High TSH on Levo
Hi, I just spoke to my doctor and my recent results showed that my TSH is 9 point something despite being on 150mcg of levo per day. She said to repeat in two months. Blood test was taken at 5.45pm with last dose being about 22 hours before. She said to repeat the test in two months. I recently

Advice about recent NDT thyroid blood tests and high SHBG
Hi there! Is there any connection between high SHBG and taking NDT thyroid medication? I've been feeling better than ever on my Erfa thyroid medication and I don't feel over medicated at all, but I had high SHBG. My estradiol also seems high. I've read that one reason for high SHBG can be hyperthyroidism
