Hi all I had a hemi
thyroidectomy
6 weeks ago (large benign single nodule) and, although I initially felt like I recovered well, I really feel like my thyroid hasn’t yet come back to normal. I’ve put on weight, don’t have as much stamina as I had previously and am tired, with dry skin.

Time off work for thyroidectomy
How long did everyone have off work after a total
thyroidectomy
. The nurse told me I will need at least 6 weeks off but most websites say 1-2 weeks.

Can anyone recommend a good endocrinologist in London?
I was diagnosed with a hot nodule when I was 15 and as a result had a partial
thyroidectomy
. I've been on levothyroxine ever since. I felt my thyroid was controlled for most of this time but in the past 5 years I don't feel well. The main issue is hair loss which is constant (daily).

Hair loss on Actavis Levothyrox. Suggestions wanted for why?
I have been on 175mg of levothyroxine - post
thyroidectomy
for the past 1.5 years. It’s currently actavis branded although originally it was mercury pharma when I moved here to the UK from the US in April. Over the past two months I have noticed a lot of hair loss and brittle strands.

I'm new here - getting desperate!
March 2019 my endocrinologist offered the options of
thyroidectomy
or RAI (radioactive iodine therapy) to treat my overactive thyroid, as it was not responding well to carbimazole and improving on its own.

Enlarged Lymph node
I had a total
thyroidectomy
over a year ago because of hashimoto disease. For some months now I have noticed a swelling on the right side of my neck right next to my saliva gland. I had a doctors visit just a few days ago and mention it to NP.
