A bit of history - MY advanced, aggressive PCa story continues ...
A bit of history - MY advanced, aggressive PCa diagnosis seemed like a death sentence. Age 66 - in reasonable healthy state, overall, although I suffer from severe arthritis,, which I have been able to manage (finally) in the last 18 months, with the help of some off label assistance AND medical cannabis

Knowledgeable urologist in Southern Oregon?
I am looking for a urological second opinion regarding urinary retention after TURP. I am also dealing with Gleason 9 PCa with Zytiga/prednisone/Lupron. I am in the Medford area and could use a good reference to a local urologist who has some experience in this area.

Best laser for prostate surgery while on Eliquis?
Has anybody had any experience with a laser Turp while on Eliquis? I had a prostate resection 10 years ago, ( no PAF then) and it was a quite bloody affair, with 4 days of catheterized bladder washing. I filled tens of colored water bags with the draining of my blood loss. Now I have to do a Turp

Urinary retention months after TURP
Had a TURP in November 2018 and they did a biopsy and found my Gleason 9 PC. Am starting to treat cancer with Zytiga/prednisone/lupron and hope for good news down the road on that issue. However, even after the TURP, I am retaining too much urine even though I can pee. So, my urologist has me self catheterizing

Male Cystoscopy Experience
After passing a stone in my urine I was scheduled to have a cystoscopy to check the inside of my bladder. I’d read countless reviews and became more and more concerned after reading some of the horror stories online. It seems that people are quick to jump on forums when the experience is bad, but less

Advice: Cyberknife treatment of prostate AFTER TURP and Axumin scan
Just got back from yet another Urologist, seems no wants to place markers in my prostate after I had a TURP for RT treatment. The reasoning they say is the risk of prostate radiation side effects ( incontinence urine and bowel, needing to cath myself, etc...) that will last my lifetime is too great,

It was 0.98; my lowest ever was 0.3 and highest 1.03. My urologist saw this as a positive sign and I laughed out loud. My reading of published

Stopping Zytiga after 6months
After our last checkup with our med onco last Friday, he mentioned that my husband can stop taking Zytiga if his PSA drops to below zero after 6months treatment and just continue with Eligard and Xgeva. Brief info, my husband was diagnosed with advanced pca late June 2018 (PSA 33) with mets to bones
