coming off targinact
I am very anxious at the moment as the NHS have a drive to get people off
targinact
10/5 mg which has been a miracle worker for me. Also on a 2 mg rotigitine patch. Not sure what to expect when coming off and been given gabepentim to try. Tried pregabelim but was a shocker for side effects.

How to escape Augmentation?
I reduced the pregabalin dosage to 200mg/day and started oxycodone (10mg/day
Targinact
). When this failed to give any relief the consultant suggested a gradual increase to 30mg/day oxycodone but at 25mg/day the side effects where too much for me and had not achieved any relief.

mini stroke and medication prescribed
(Ps every night I take 175 pregabalin, cocodamol and 1/4 tablet of clonazapam, I was trying to convince my doctor to try
Targinact
but I then had the stroke…,I’m not going to be given any other drugs any time soon, my ferritin was 105 when last tested )

Advice moving forward:
I need some advice moving forward… I saw Professor Walker about a year ago - his next suggestion was
Targinact
or other opioid. My doctor was horrified at the thought of prescribing opioids and I suspect he won’t consider this. What are other peoples experiences?

Buprenorphine
For the record I had been on oxycodone and latterly
Targinact
for years before the switch to B, brought about because of a decrease in effectiveness. Also, without this wonderful forum I would never have heard of B, (or for that matter oxy or targin) Thanks again to all, fuzzie.

Is an opiate the way to go?
I am seriously thinking about
Targinact
which is supposed to be a non constipating opoide as I know that 100mcg of Buprenorphine (Temgesic) is very effective but causes constipation. Any suggestions welcome. Best Regards to all.

Which CCG's are prescribing Targinact?
3 years ago my consultant at Papworth suggested
Targinact
but Cambridgeshire CCG would not allow it to be prescribed. I've just moved to Wiltshire and was wondering if anyone has been able to get

At last a phone call
So a week ago I wrote a further letter asking for
Targinact
. Today I had a phone call all very ambiguous apart from another flat no to the
Targinact
. I pointed out that it was licensed in u.k for severe RlS which she admitted she didn’t know.

Coming off Ropinirole
I have been slowly weaning myself off Ropinirole over the last few months since starting
Targinact
, but even following the guidelines overnight is particularly challenging. Sleep is difficult & it feels like I am on a ship & all I can feel is the vibration of the engine running.

Ropinirole withdrawal experience?
I am almost tempted to step up the Ropinirole again to where it was as I was problem free for a month with
Targinact
+ Gabapentin + Ropinirole.

Targinact working
I have been on
Targinact
for 2 weeks in conjunction with Gabapentin & Ropinirole - it's been transformational , with no more standing up swaying during the evening plus I am sleeping much better now. I would say 95% gone.
