Tapazole

I spent about 3 years on Tapazole 2012-2015/16, guesstimate.

to block hormone and then given levo and then Tapazole and levo back and forth...I dont recall how long taking it, but I do recall it was 2years before I was on levo daily.

I’ve came off tapazole for the mean time and if I stay off will depend on if my levels can stay the same (here’s praying!) while being off it but the acid is still here. Aside from medication does anyone have any remedies to solve this?

Hi I’m looking to hear from anyone that’s been on tapazole then come off it and how they’ve felt?

Tapazole dose changed from 10mg to 5mg after latest blood work showed that my t4 was on the lower end and heading towards hypo.

They want me to remove my thyroid, or do Rai and definitely take the tapazole 15 mg/day. February 25th I had a blood test. My tsh was <0.0001 (low) and my t4 was 10.0 (high). I have had a goiter since 2005. I have a lot of nodules now, 2 big ones and lots of little ones.

I was on 1.24 mg tapazole and though all my blood were normal my t3 was 2.9 (normal 3). T4 13 amd tsh 1.6 ) I still have graves antibodies so he asked me to start 100mg synthroid and up my tapazole to 2.5 mg per day. I feel awful. Can’t sleep past 230am and feel nauseous 5 days in.

Muscle issues in neck and shoulders and some constipation anxious jitters Am I over medicated on tapazole? Any suggestions? One dr wants me off tapazole the other says stay on

Therefore the doctor decreased the tapazole dose to once a day again. I am hoping the symptoms soon disappear. :(

After taking 1 tablet of Tapazole 5mg (tiamozol/methiamozol) a day and 1/2 a tablet of 40mg propanolol every 12hours, for 2 weeks; this was the result.

So,he increased the dose of the tapazole, from once to 1 every 12 hours. And the symptoms were going away. But it only lasted for a week or almost 2. Then the symptoms returned, not sure of it was because my period came down then.

I take Tapazole 15mg and of course a beta blocker that I take at half of what I was prescribed because my pressure was too low. I have to work, can't walk around like a zombie. Already my joints are aching and I am tired. But so far no swelling in the face.

My Doctor called today to tell me to take up my dose of Tapazole from 10 mg to 15mg following my latest test. I have been feeling pretty good at last, after months of hyper, then she over medicated me to extreme hypo, now I feel better except for extreme pain in my right side lower back/hip area.

T3 Uptake 36 T4 Total 15.0 Free T4 Index 5.4 TSH 0.01 Dr after this test increased Tapazole from 1/2 to 1 ( 10mg) pill a day and I am finally feeling much better. DR says my stomach problems are unrelated?

I am still on Tapazole 1.25mg every other day. Trying to get off this drug. I was on this dose for 3 weeks and tried this past week to reduce to every second day.

She changed my meds and doubled them ( Tapazole ) to 30mg daily. Sent me for blood tests then and again last week. On Friday she called and said to stop all meds immediately and she'll talk to me in 2 weeks. She said my TSH is 55. I know I need more results but that's all she gave me.

Tapazole, 3 tabs by mouth daily. My question all 3 at once or 1 tablet 3 times a day? Finally seen a specialist, medicine changed, blood work results soon, another blood test in 6 weeks. Graves disease, she thinks.

I have been on .625/day dose of a 5 mg tablet of Tapazole for past 7 days

I am now taking Tapazole and have increased my cortisol replacement doses to cope with the Adrenal stress. They did NOT do a TSI test, instead did a TSH antibody receptor test as well as testing TSH T3 and T4.

On 5mg tapazole daily. One Endo wants me to drop tapazole the other says stay on same dose. I just went dairy and gluten free. What should I do next? What is the right dose,?
