Just like to say that 3mths on after my operation,I haven't felt as well as I do now,for years! I returned to work with racehorses a month after the op,2wks later I was as strong as ever! Struggled with tamoxifen for a while, but ok now. I truly have never felt better or happier,Jan & Feb just a distant memory 😊Good luck to all on your journey.

That is lovely to hear, hopefully after this next chemo and radiotherapy I won't be far behind you. I am finding getting used to the terrible tightness across my chest after my double mastectomy difficult to get used to.

Great news. My gf is scheduled for mastectomy in 3 weeks. I'm worried sick and took comfort from your words. If you don't mind me asking how large was the lump and did you do chemo? All the best

My biggest tumour was 8mm 2nd was 6 then when they removed the breast they found lots of tiny ones! My 4 lymph glands taken tested clear so no radiotherapy or chemo-just tamoxifen for 5yrs! I'm 59 and sailed through it-positive thinking is key! Good luck to you both😊

Luckily mine were tiny. I started off by having a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed. They found that the nodes were clear but found more in my breast so due to my breast being small and dense scans didn't pick them up. Consultant recommend that i have a mastectomy and also offered me a immediate reconstruction. I was lucky that I didn't have to have any chemo or radiotherapy. I am also now on tamoxifen. I have struggled a little bit but on the road to recovery. Good luck to your gf xx
