Oh dear.... i have had 9 months of chemo and currently on radiotherapy and my tastebuds are up the creek without a paddle. Plus awful sores in mouth and throat after cmf chemo.... all the joys eh..... lol 😄 hope your treatment is going well and taste comes back to normal x

I am very lucky. Doesn't always feel it when I am having my low days like everyone. Every time I hear that song i will remember you now xx

I must admit I get low now and again but find laughter the best medicine. I have also started painting which really takes your mind off things. Remember we are all allowed our low days. You take care xx

Been on it for 18 months now and no problems with taste buds - thank goodness 😀. I hope that it's something that sorts itself out for you and you regain your taste for food soon xxx

No nothing like that bit did you know it is being used as a preventative medicine when you have siblings? I've just been told to advise my sisters to discuss going on tamoxifen with their GP.

Hi, I've been on tamoxifen for almost 6 months now and don't have this issue with the metallic.......just every other side effect known to man!!! (or woman) Biggest and worst is the flushes so am now on Megace as well to stop the flushing.....we shall see! I'd check this metallic taste thing out with your doc or breast care nurse.

Hi. I'm Nora, nmc10354. I am having awful hot flushes too. I've been on Tamoxfen since August 2015. I've tried homeopathy, just have 1 more session of Acupuncture and am on Venaflaxin which are supposed to help. Nothing has made any significant difference. will you let me know how Megace goes please. Good luck.

hi,

I'm definately better heeps better with the Megace (Megastrol Acetate). I take 160mgs daily and I no longer need to change my clothes 5 times a day!! Was so debilatating. I had to take changes to work and felt yeuch all the time. I still have the flushes but nothing like before. Ask your doc about Megace!! Good luck :-)

I've been on Tamoxifen for nearly 2 years and thankfully no metallic taste....might be worth just checking in with your onc/ nurse.x
