Progression on Tagrisso only after 6 months.
I have been on
Tagrisso
1st line for 6 months. my 3rd scan last monday showed slight progression, 2 new nodules ( 16mm- 1cm ) and one grew slightly. my next treatment plan is up in air pending PET, MRI and biopsy. Any recommendation or what your medical team is doing now will be helpful.

Tagrisso NHS and insurance
Hi,I have just been told my insurance co. won't pay for
Tagrisso
after 12 months. Has anyone else had this issue? I just don't know what to do. It's enough of a worry that the treatment keeps working and now it's going to be taken away from me for financial reasons. Anyone with a similar issue?

Suggestions for Nausea on Tagrisso
My mom is on
Tagrisso
. She is experiencing very bad nausea in the morning and early afternoon. Nothing is helping her, she takes 8mg of zofran and still feels like she has to vomit. She doesn’t ever vomit but is just really nauseous and needs to lay down.

Toxin risk in radiation
My other tumors in my brain, bones and lymphs shrunk or are stable on
Tagrisso
. I feel pretty strong so I asked if I could wait 6 weeks, after a vacation. It's not growing so fast.

“Disease Flare” in lung cancer
The disease flare can also happen commonly after
Tagrisso
is stopped. My dad was not on
Tagrisso
, but if such occurs and then disease flare involves rapid leptomeningeal, they are finding Tarceva has helped the disease flare that
Tagrisso
can potentially cause, for those with EGFR.

She graduated hospice New Year’s Day and has been on a newish drug
Tagrisso
for a couple of weeks now. She’s off all other drugs bar calcium & vitamin D. Her most challenging side effect is trouble sleeping at night. She says her brain is racing.

He has been started on the drug
Tagrisso
in the past few days. The cost is $5000 per month over and above their medical insurance contribution, which is not sustainable for them. Has anyone had similar difficulties and does
Tagrisso
work? Thanks in advance.

Switched to
Tagrisso
1/1/18. I haven't seen much discussion about
Tagrisso
and I'd like to hear from anyone who has taken it and their experiences with it. Thanks in advance for any replies!

Update - my Foundation One report is in. 😯
I'm feeling good, which reinforces taking some time and staying on
Tagrisso
at the current time. I hope to have another blog post soon. Anita

Scan update: All systems go for now
I will stay on
Tagrisso
for another 3 months with the realization that the next scan will probably officially show progression. My doctor and I updated our treatment plan.

Tagrisso/Osimertinib side-effects?? Nails lifting???
Found to have T790M mutation and put on
Tagrisso
three months ago - good shrinkage of all tumours from latest scan. However, strangely, the only side-effect I have is that my finger and toe nails are lifting from my nail beds.

Scanxiety is Real! 8 Ideas for Coping with the Stress of Scan Time
Maybe this time I am more anxious than usual, because after a year on
Tagrisso
, every scan is more likely to bring the news that my miracle drug is no longer working for me. Scanxiety isn’t something that lessens with time and repetition, either. It can actually grow worse over time.

Anniversaries, Cancerversaries, and Milestones of Lung Cancer Treatment and Survivorship
I opened my 13th bottle of
Tagrisso
last weekend, marking a full year of treatment with this very new T790M and EGFR inhibitor. It’s been a great year, full of love and adventures.

What It's Like to Be in a Lung Cancer Clinical Trial - Part Two, The Clovis Pharmaceuticals Phase II Trial for CO-1686
By the time I left the trial, the other drug being tested at the time I enrolled, AZD-9291, was FDA approved and on the market as
Tagrisso
. I slid on over to
Tagrisso
, and have had an additional year of good scans and a good life.
