An Open Letter to Family and Friends of Thyroid Patients
Or, you may already know someone else who's taking thyroid medication, maybe
Synthroid
, and they seem to be doing fine, so you assume thyroid disease will be a similar experience for your friend/family member.

Hashimotos and Trying to Conceive
My TSH was 3 when my doctor prescribed 25 mcg of
Synthroid
. After only 2 weeks I felt rapid HR/feeling faint. I then started 25 mcg Levo, same symptoms, felt terrible. My TSH was then 6. The doctor said that was pretty much the only drug available, so I sought second opinion.

TSH drop is it too soon?
So I went to get blood work done today because I started 25mg
Synthroid
(brand name) two weeks ago but because I have been experiencing runs of NSVT (not SVT) and slower than normal heart rate (in the 50s) they wanted to repeat it.

What happens when...
I started
Synthroid
(brand name) two weeks ago and since then I have now experience two episodes of NSVT (non sustained ventricular tachycardia - it’s not related to SVT; that’s complexly different) this week, one Tuesday one last night, both caught and confirmed by my internal loop recorder.

Can someone help me with this.
Has anyone had an issue with NSVT ( non-sustained ventricular tachycardia ) while on
Synthroid
? I have an implantable loop recorder that records my heart beats and it recorded two episodes yesterday afternoon. I had blurry vision, intense rushing sensation and irregular fast beats.

selenium- where do we stand?
We discussed taking a very tiny dose of the
Synthroid
by cutting a 25mg in half or using another brand that has a 13mg pill and seeing how that works out because as of last Sunday I’m taking nothing for the thyroid. A few things have been mentioned.

Side effects
Did anyone experience any side effects when starting
Synthroid
? I started this morning (I’m taking brand) and all day I have felt tired, a little nausea and a bit out of it.

Evaluating Test Results Using Tirosint
In Feb, Started having stomach issues (first time ever) and malabsorption of
Synthroid
100 mcgs. I researched and requested a change to Tirosint or Tirosint-Sol. Placed on Tirosint-Sol 100 mcgs and did much better. TSH dropped to .02 and Endo requested that I skip a dosage once a week.

Anyone with arrhythmia take thyroid medications?
Hey everyone, Is there anyone out there who has arrhythmia, also has hypothyroidism and takes
Synthroid
or similar? I’m curious what your experience has been. Has the medication made things worse or better? Do you experience more (cardiac) symptoms since treatments or less?

Hypothyroid and Short of Breath
But now, on a lower dose of
Synthroid
to treat the presumed hyperthyroid from too much
Synthroid
, I continue to have symptoms, albeit slightly improved and I'm not sure that I am not hypothyroid now clinically, despite always a normal TSH which fluctuates.

NSVT and I’m at a loss.
I also just started
synthroid
last week and my thyroid is a mess but they feel it’s not related. My EP says right now we will carry on as we have been he’s not too concerned.

Response I received from Endos Nurse
He ordered Levothyroxine (
Synthroid
). There are many generic brands of levothyroxine. You will need to discusses this with your pharmacy. Unfortunately, we have no control over this.Technically, all generic brands should be the same.
