Mildest inhaler for copd
For some inexplicable reason - well giving up sugar and doubling exercise might be part of it - I have dropped my requirement for 8 doses of
symbicort
a day, which Ive been on for years, to just 2.

Symbicort and side effects?
I've been on
Symbicort
for a year. I take one puff in the morning and one at night. For the past month or so, I havent been feeling right. I think my blood pressure is through the roof and I'm assuming it's from
Symbicort
. I lost my job/health insurance due to the virus.

Asthma with GERD
I take
symbicort
twice a day. Peak flow is generally in the green. I can exercise without a problem. But I have GERD. Sometimes it shows itself as heartburn.

When To Take Medications
I am on
Symbicort
200/6. I take one puff in day and one puff in eve. The doctor tells me I have six remaining puffs to play with as needed. What does as needed mean? Whenever I feel any asthma symptom?

Need help understanding living with asthma.
My take on it is that ever since I was hospitalized and sent home and taking first Advair, then Breo and now
Symbicort
everyday, that medicine alone has possibly contributed to my not feeling right.

Symbicort clicking question
Has anyone ever had a
symbicort
turbohaler that clicks on the FIRST twist rather than the second? Mine has always clicked on the second turn, so I'm worried it might be defective? It also turns in the opposite direction to my last one....

Finding a better GP
Thanks to the infection i needed a longer course of pred but gp said no, wanted me to wait until i finish antibiotics, wouldnt allow me a ventolin inhaler as i usually manage with only
symbicort
and basically said "sit and let the breathless feeling pass" All telephone consultations thanks to covid.

6-7 weeks being short of breath
First one they swapped Fostair for
Symbicort
, which has maybe helped a little, but still wheezy and short of breath. Second call last week they tried me on Montelukast, i'm five tablets into that with no improvement at all. I've got a follow up call next week, but she seemed pretty stumped!

Asthma Mystery
I am on
Symbicort
200 / 6 ... doing TWO puffs a day. I should also mention that exercising relieves the chest tightness too, and sometimes very quickly.

Just diagnosed with asthma.33y old female.Taking prednisone, duoneb (ipratropium bromide and albuterol), advair hfa, ventolin, montelukast.
I think I might not be tolerating well budesonide which also is part of
symbicort
. And maybe because of that my asthma didn't improve over last couple of weeks. Today was my first time using 60 mg of prednisone and advair.

Choking on water, coughing, short of breath
I am on a fair amount of medication, including 300mg Uniphyllin twice daily,
Symbicort
200/6 twice daily, Pulmicort and Montelukast. Since January, I’ve now had my 4th (or 5th) lot of steroids for what was described as “crackling” in my lower right lung.

Fostair vs symbicort
I asked my nurse about trying fostair and she said there’s no point because it’s so similar to
symbicort
. Has anyone tried fostair and
symbicort
and found fostair works better for them?
