Has anyone ever had a symbicort turbohaler that clicks on the FIRST twist rather than the second? Mine has always clicked on the second turn, so I'm worried it might be defective? It also turns in the opposite direction to my last one....

Symbicort clicking question
I can't remember offhand whether my symbicort is first or last, but I have 3 turbohalers and 2 click first and one last.
Actually I think on the new AUK videos about inhaler techniques, for the turbohalers it says it doesn't matter where the click is....
Phew thanks twinkly, that's a relief!
It is really odd that some do it first and others second!
IT really is! And odd that they twist in different directions. It really threw me off this morning... you would think that sort of thing would be standardised

The video is here and there's a transcript too.
It's the reason why they ask you to twist in both directions. I have never had one which clicked on the second turn, so I guess it could leave the factory in either configuration, but then doesn't matter so long as you turn twice
From memory it says on the patient information leaflet that it may twist in either direction on the first turn.
It says "Turn the red grip as far as it will go in one direction. Then turn it as far
as it will go in the other direction (it does not matter which way you
turn it first). You should hear a click sound.
Do this again, turning the red grip in both directions.
Your Symbicort Turbohaler is now ready for use. "
