Contraceptive pill interfering with thyroid meds?
Anybody know anything about this topic please? Can combined pill interfere with the uptake and use of thyroid hormones? Can the pill mask a thyroid condition? *I take my contraceptive pill 5+hours away from thyroid meds* lil bit of back story: I’ve been on the pill for 10+years. I have wanted to

I had a blood test at a hospital (for unrelated reasons) and it showed my TSH as 1.12 and my Free T4 as 10.2. The haematology department wrote to my GP asking for a repeat of the tests and if they remain abnormal, to refer me to an endocrinologist. The results came back from the GP's lab as 1.15 and

Frequent injuries when exercising.
I have been hypo for about 10 years, currently on 75mcg levo, and 10mcg lio but drop to 5mcg twice a week, otherwise my heart rate goes up from 60’s to 90’s. TSH 0.01, FT4 16.1, FT3 4.6, both 41% through range. Vit D 85. I find if I do even pilates, ligaments and bursae get easily inflamed. Eg an ankle

I am now off Carbimazole and my TSH is lowering steadily. My FT4 and FT3 are fluctuating though and wondered if there is anything i can ascertain from that or is it quite normal. I have adopted a gluten and dairy free diet in the last 4 months and feel like the brain fog has lifted. Last 3 results were

Levothyroxine brands
Can anyone advise on a brand of levo for sensitive people. I know what suits one might not suit another! In May 2022 I had my thyroid removed after years being overactive with goitre on Carbimazole. At one point my weight dropped to 50kgs and it took many months before it returned to within normal

T3 Heart Attack?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can give me any insight on T3 causing a heart attack? I’m reading really conflicting information as to whether it’s even possible. I had a heart attack at the end of January (I’m only 38) and was told it was a type 2 MI secondary to thyrotoxicosis. I wasn’t given the

High free T4
Been on Thyroxine for 17 years. Recent bloods show TSH at 0.58 ( I feel better in this range ) but Free T4 has been flagged at 25.6. GP said results must be wrong and is retesting next week. I took my meds 6 hours before bloods, is this why the reading is high? or any other suggestions why free T4

Fluctuating T4?
Hi all, Would really appreciate some advice on fluctuating free T4 levels - having had a dose increase from 50 to 75mg end of September 23, T4 finally went up to 16.7 (range 11.50 -22.7) in December - I know this still needs improvement and I still have the full range of symptoms but doctors wouldn't

high thryoid levels but back to bradycardia?!
Good evening. I am seemingly fully replaced on a combi dose of Levo and Lio and generally feel quite well in myself, can tolerate exercise and lead a normal life. My partner commented that I was breathing very fast at night so I have started to wear my apple watch again after a few months leaving

Help and Advice
I have been suffering some time now ( years perhaps ) with debilitating symptoms such as exhaustion, puffy face, coldness, constipation, dry skin, hair shedding, muscle aches and more recently severe numbness and pins and needles in my hands. I thought this may be the onset on menopause as I am now
