Sinthrome

I take Sinthrome instead of Warfarin, as I was losing my hair, so was switched by my surgeon. Anyway I am currently recovering from a knee operation. The night after my surgery, a nurse should have been giving me a heparin infusion, I had s plan and this was on it.

Since then, I’ve been to my local INR specialist clinic (local being a 40 mile round trip), been put on sinthrome, and now (after my GP telling me I am “an unstable liability”) I am injecting clexane daily instead of taking oral anticoagulants.

I have always been very health conscious and active..however..I have had asthma since child given steroids..early menapause aged 34...cancer in 1994....then was given blood thinners 8 years ago warfarin then sinthrome which are the two worst medications for taking Vit K out of your bones..I have just

asthma from being a child so steroids of course...I had early menapause through hysterectomy 34 years ..no help given..then melanoma cancer in 1994 again medication and finally was told just over 7 years ago I had atrial fibrillation which didn't bother me but was put on Warfarin for three years then Sinthrome

I was initially medicated with warfarin but was switched to Sinthrome due to hair loss. The hair loss has stopped, but Sinthrome appears to have the side effect of causing me to itch.

He'll support me in self testing (after my own GP practice / NHS Trust has flatly refused) and will ensure that I get the machine and strips I need when they've got me stable on Sinthrome.

I am looking into trying Sinthrome instead as life on warfarin is a quality of life I have never known and want to give up ASAP. Because this isn't identified as one of the side-effects people can tend to dismiss what I say.

I take no meds except Sinthrome (Warfarin-type anticoag) as they have been found ineffectual in the past.

Apparently my GP will prescribe Sinthrome, even considering the increased cost, although some doctors at the same surgery will not as they don't "trust" situations where they can't check readings. Thanks

Hi I have been on Warfrain and Sinthrome since I had a PE in Jan 2013 and when I saw the consultant yesterday they told me to stop taking the Sinthrome altogether (I was taken taken of Warfarin and put on Sinthrome due to itching and hair loss).

Well I was suppose to be on Warfarin for 6mths now they have put me on Sinthrome but now I am on it indefinitely WHY is this. Thanks Julia xx

Have been very stable on sinthrome for over a year but I now discover there is a serious supply problem. Disaster! Has anyone any advice about or knowledge of rivaroxyban?
