Looking for people like me
I've also tried symbicort (gave me chest pains),
singulair
and phylocontin. I didn't give the pills much longer than a week because pred had already ripped my stomach to shreds and I hadn't yet found the amazing ranatidine. Maybe I should try them again?

Loss of Voice when trying to Train!!!!!
My asthma nurse has recommended that I be out on the oral tablets, (
Singulair
?), as this helps with irritant induced asthma and hopefully would reduce amount of seretide that I would need to take - I see the doctor tomrrow about this.

Second opinion, points that i,m not Asthmatic?
She said that i will probably have to continue meds(Foradil, qvar, Xzal,
singulair
), as the chest infections are a different matter and still need to be dealt with!

Hi/any advice?
My doctor added in
singulair
and it helped for a month before I got another virus. I'm on my latest course of steroids, I've been on 40mg for five days and I'm starting to recuce them although I'm still coughing and needing to take my blue inhaler through the day and before I go to bed.

Can't get rid of this breathlessness - please help
My GP added
Singulair
but I have seen no improvement. I am also started using a saltpipe. I was ill at the same time last year Easter and the May Bank holiday with exactly the same symptoms (hospitalised 3 days) and the Gp then put me on seretide and I have been absolutely marvelous until now.

How are we all doing? - just checking in.
Have been on
Singulair
for 3 weeks now, and really starting to feel the difference. Also still on my Clenil Modulite 200 (3 puffs twice a day), and Ventolin as and when. I'm now finding I don't need to use the Ventolin more than about 3 times a week, and when I do, it seems to work quicker.

Singulair - does it work this quick?
Hi peeps, Was prescribed
Singulair
yesterday, and took my first dose last night. I seem to have had the best day I've had for quite a while today. minimal tightness and coughing. Could it really be the
Singulair
working this quickly? Or just coincidence?

Should I stop the singulair?
Hi all, I've been taking
Singulair
since July, and it's been like a wonder drug for me, before | started on it I was constantly getting puffed out and having to sit down at work, since I started it I've been absolutely fine, with hardly any problems at all.

GENERAL ENQUIRY
I went to the doctor the other day and she prescribed
singulair
so I guess I will give that a try. I have also noticed that when I wake in the morning these days my nose is totally blocked almost as if I have a cold but I don't - is this related to the asthma in anyway?.

14yo diagnosed with cough variant asthma....how does he get rid of the mucus??
This is my first post as my son has just been diagnosed with cough variant asthma and, following an initial two week dose of prednisolone along with symbicort twice daily and now also one tab of
singulair
, is having a horrendous time trying to shift the remaining mucus from one of his lungs.

How can I get the doctors to help my son?
I have asthma and I'm on salbutamol and sertide inhalers then take a
singulair
tablet at night. My son is on salbutamol, antihistamine syrup and clenil modulite (beclometasone disproportinate)-think I've mispelled that but you get the idea! My asthma is now controlled90% of the time.
