I now have a veritable pharmacy in my bedroom - ventolin, cetirizine, lanzoprazole and

Do I have asthma? Help please.
The GP says it's asthma (or claims it's a virus) and has tried me on Becatide, Salbutamol and now Serevent/
Singulair
too. Thing is I'm not totally convinced I have asthma.

Anyone taken Singulair. Seretide and Uniphyllin?
Hi I have been taking
Singulair
for about a month now and feel that I have improved. There again, I have been up and down before so I can't be absolutely sure it will continue and in fact, it is due to
Singulair
.

Blood test followed, daily peak flow charts, spirometry tests, prednisolone,
singulair
, uniphyllin, seretide, symbicort, x-rays. Everything. I've done it all, several times. I was a spectacular flop on the spirometry test in particular.

Hi from a new member
Im also on seretide,
singulair
, ventolin (nebs and inhaler) nasonex and flunisolide. My questions Does anyone else seem not to have any triggers? Has anyone been on CPAP for an asthma attack? Does anyone else’s oxygen stats behave like mine? (really good then a sudden drop?)

little query
I've been on symbicort 400/12 for a while now and had
singulair
added a few months ago. Doctor said that when I was stable I should try going back to the symbicort 200/6.

Cough Variant Asthma??
I was on Seretide,
Singulair
and Ventolin. The main issue with my doctor was he wouldn’t stop going on about me not having a wheeze.

All this superfluous medication - what do I do with it?
There are: 3 ventolin evohalers (like to have spares) 2 Clenil Modulite evohalers (2 different strengths) 1 Serevent Evohaler 1 Flixotide Evohaler 2 boxes of
Singulair
It seems so wasteful, and being a bit of an ecowarrior, I'm looking for some responsible way of putting them to use, rather than just

For those who take singulair / montelukast
I was just wondering - I take
singulair
10mgs, 2 tablets in the morning. I believe the recommended dose is one 10mg tablet a day. My dose was put up to 20mgs a day by a hospital consultant after I had spent some time in ITU.

Brittle Asthma and VCD
This wasn't prevented even with being on prednisolone 30mg a day, seretide 250, flixotide 250,
singulair
10mg, regular salamol nebs. I was pretty much a mystery to the medical profession as why this had come so out of the blue. I was diagnosed as having brittle asthma.

I'm stepping down meds - experiences please?
As of yesterday I'm now off the montelukast (
singulair
). Must admit my chest's been a little tight today and I've had an irritating cough. Don't know if it's related. Has anyone else had experience of stepping down from
Singulair
? How was it?

Anyone see this?
I don't know if they're really saying anything that new (science reporting in average broadsheet/tabloid usually not that great) but I notice they don't mention the reported side effects of
Singulair
!

Problems coming off Prednisolone
Before this last attack (which happened while I was in Majorca - I think I was allergic to the type of pollen over there) my asthma is very well controlled, I usually take 125 Seretide and
Singulair
. I'm also now on 250 Seretide.

Why do asthma nurses presume you know everything without being told?
Ditto only add-on they can offer is
singulair
. Explained that if I see a GP, then there are alternative inhalers and add-ons that he can offer. Why couldn't the first nurse explain it this way? That nurses can only give you certain meds?
