Fed up
again playing up badly and I am having 'attacks' at least 5 times per day (where I have to use my reliever and often at least 5 puffs each time) and because of being breathless, I have been having problems using the Symbicort because of not having the breath in me to breathe it in so I am now back on

Oral salbutamol
(
Seretide
, ventolin, montelukast, prednisolone, certirizine, risedronate and uniphyllin ) and they have now decided to give me oral salbutamol 8mg twice daily. But I can't seem to find much info on it, so I was wondering if anyone here is on it or knows anything about it? Can it be used long term?

Newly Diagnosed - advice please
Initially it seemed to be set off by some sort of allergy (sprays etc) and I was given
Seretide

Breathless / Messed about by GP!
Anyway, the basics of my story is as follows - - was diagnosed as having Asthma when I was 5 and I'm allergic to dust mites / house dust - I was on ventolin for years and years (now 39 years old) - was put on
Seretide
500 about 6 years ago as I found myself wheezy all the time - everything was fine

Symbicort 200/6 SMART therapy
I am to continue for now with
seretide
250 and singulair, but I was wondering who has had experience of this therapy - I must admit it sounds good, I'm the sort of person who forgets to take my inhaler when I'm well.

Side effects
I am a lifelong asthma sufferer & have been taking twice daily inhalations of
Seretide
125 for about 3 years. I have two concerns: 1. That since getting adjusted to
Seretide
,Ventolin no longer works as a reliever. My asthma nurse says ""it should"" but it doesn't. 2.

New shoes and no inhaler.
I feel my asthmatic lungs are better than they've ever been (thanks to
Seretide
the wonder drug), but I swear my legs are getting heavier! Feeling just a little anxious about week 3 though.

Asthma Advice??
I was on prednisone for a very short time which did not do much except worsen my GERD/heartburn which is common with me anyway (I've been on prednisone twice but not long term, the last time was months ago, rather low dose of 60mg a day) and I'm currently on singulair long term + a 250/25
