Going round in circles
In the mean time nurse has doubled
seretide
to four puff twice a day of 250. Feel as though this is taking forever to sort out. And just still on a treadmill.

Flutiform 125 to Seretide 125
The jump to Flutiform 125 to
seretide
125 seems logical enough but now I feel like I have lost some of my independence, as I don't even have an asthma action plan anymore [other than go to the GP or A&E if needed]...

Can I put sputum sample in fridge?
I have no infection so she thought it was inflammation of the airways and prescribed
Seretide
to add to my Spiriva. I've now had the
Seretide
reduced with a view to coming off it eventually. I do have Pseudomonas in my lungs but it's not a problem at the moment.

Overprescribing of Seretide/Advair..?
Not really related to me, but I've been hearing a lot lately about people who are diagnosed with mild asthma and straight out are given
Seretide
(Advair in the US). Huh?!
Seretide
comes with a black-box warning from the FDA.

Spacers - volumatic v aerochamber?
The ENT consultant wants me to come off my
seretide
cos of the high steroid content and the fact that the inhaler coats the vocal cords as the stuff goes past. I tried to tell him the
seretide
is the first inhaler that's actually calmed my asthma so i'm reluctant to come off it.

Somewhat belated introduction!
He thought that was a really good idea and gave me
Seretide
125/25, telling me to take it in place of my normal one for two weeks and then to step back down to
Seretide
50/25.

How can my lungs get worse so quickly?!?!
The
Seretide
50/25 was working so well so why is it not anymore? Why has my asthma just been getting worse just as we think we've got it under control? :/

Tablet change to Ambulatory Care part 2
He explained that the new tablets will control the heart rate and allow the
Seretide
to work better. However because of the multi conditions I have it will not help my breathing as my heart and damaged lungs are struggling to work together!

My gp is back
I use the
seretide
250 inhaler, using a spacer apparently increases lung uptake rather than swallowing it. Have tendonitis, in need of home physio which will take a while obviously, so she gave me a couple of excersises to get me started.

Persistent attacks
I was switched from becotide to
seretide
, which has subsequently increased to 250mg three times a day. And I keep having courses of steroids. But the asthma never gets completely better. I still have to use ventolin several times a day.
