Asthma Symptoms
I was then put on Sirdupla (
salmeterol
25mg/fluticasone 125mg), of which I take 2 puffs in the morning and two in the evening. This got rid of my cough. never needed my rescue inhaler and have ever since always had good peak flow readings.

Why am I gasping?
I am supposed to take Fluticasone/
Salmeterol
(Seretide) preventer and Salbutamol (Ventolin), but I have such severe and bizarre symptoms, it makes all of these, including the breathing problem, worse.

Rapid heart rate
I took the alternative of taking 220mcg Flovent ( corticosteroid) and 50mcg Severent (
salmeterol
). These meds made a miraculous positive difference, was using rescue inhaler several times a day, now only 1- 2 times. PFT shows I have 31% lung function.

what is happening
The nurse the day before I saw said i was at brittle asthma stage, I was taken off my normal inhalers Clenil which the doctor had increased to 1,500 mgs per day and
salmeterol
but still on montilukast tablets, changing to flutiform 125 with two combined steroids I think?

New to the forum!
After the asthma attack in 2008, I was put onto Ventolin (salbutamol) and Seretide Evo (fluticasone and
salmeterol
) 250, over the years I reduced down to Seretide evo 50 one dose daily with no issues, this dose change was made in July 2015 & had no asthma symptoms at all.

Back to the Dr yesterday for COPD clarification
Also the
salmeterol
inhaler was causing pins and needles and cramp in my hands, feet and legs! Dr told me the COPD is very mild and that I am more likely to die of something else than COPD, I don't need a respiratory nurse or pulmonary rehab at the moment!

COPD
Can anyone tell me if a green inhaler containing
Salmeterol
50 micrograph, one puff twice a day is a large dose. I was diagnosed with COPD last week and my Dr didn't tell me much not even what stage I was and at the time I did not know that even existed.

Scared just diagnosed with COPD
Hi all, I was diagnosed yesterday with COPD and have been prescribed an
salmeterol
inhaler. I have read all sorts on the internet including that only 1 in 20 people survive ten years after being diagnosed!

Trying to escape side-effects, I found that
With trial and perseverance, I manage well with aspirin now, and an occasional puff of
salmeterol
(no steroidal content or aerosol solvent.) http://asthmavsteroids.blogspot.co.uk/

Worst things people have said/what not to say to someone with a lung condition
chemicals called leukotrienes which, if they were to bind, would cause inflammation as part of the immune response; anticholinergics (ipratropium, tiotropium) inhibit acetylcholine (ACh) production in the lungs, decreasing spasticity of smooth muscle; beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonists (salbutamol,

How can my lungs get worse so quickly?!?!
I had been yellow-zoning for about a week and I couldn't keep my Sere 50 stepped up any longer because that's not good in terms of the OD of
Salmeterol
! The doc gave me Seretide 125/25 and said to use it for two weeks and then step back down. Two weeks later I stepped back down.

Somewhat belated introduction!
I did that for a week but I wasn't any better and I didn't want to OD on
Salmeterol
, so I went to the doctor. We are lucky that our local practice has a GP who has a special interest in respiratory medicine and prescribing.

NHS medication recommendations, and minerals
I have Ventolin for whenever needed and I'm supposed to use a
Salmeterol
powder inhalter twice a day for maintenance. Well, the Ventolin works and has no side effects.

Salmeterol
Montelukas At least the first two, especially
Salmeterol

Use of other medication with asthma medication
I have recently been diagnosed with asthma and am now using QVAR100 and Vertine
Salmeterol
inhalers twice a day. I have been using viagra/kamagra with no ill effects for a few years and need to know if I am safe to keep on using it in view of my inhalers and my asthma.
