Undiagnosed daughter on alot of medication, anyone similar?
So here goes, hello I am Natasha. My daughter is five years old on Sunday. She is un-diagnosed and has carried out lung function tests which have determined she is not asthmatic by consultants now at Derby and Great Ormond Street. She lives on daily, slo-phyllin, montelukas, seretide, steroids in winter

What inhalers do you have for your asthma?
Hi all, I'm just curious about what inhalers you all use for asthma and what type of asthma do you have? I currently have an undiagnosed breathing prob which is 24-7 and much worse on even light exertion but no tests I've had have conclusively provided a reason why. I'm looking to get asthma looked

Advice needed please
I’m on Symbicort twice daily for asthma and mild COPD. Only just realised that having just used up one inhaler, my spare has gone missing. I’m on holiday in America for the next 3 weeks. Upon asking in the local pharmacy if I could buy Symbicort I was advised that I need a prescription (so need to

New inhaler dispenser. Bit annoyed.
I picked up two new cannisters of salbutamol, except the pharmacist gave me salamol easi-breathe instead of normal metered dose ventolin. I wouldn't mind except I didn't realise what it was until I got home. I'm no good at taking MDI without a spacer (always but especially in an attacj) or DPI. I've

Unable to get words out and confusion
My daughter in law flew to Malaga with her sister for the weekend and felt strange as she got off the plane. Her vision became affected and she became incoherent and confused. Her sister called for an ambulance and she's now in hospital with tests being run. She was recovering a little in hospital last

Oh crumbs continued.....
So my virus came and stayed, causing me fairly significant fever for a couple of nights and a lot of coughing. I doubled my Symbicort starting Christmas Eve. I muddled through Christmas Eve and Day, with help from the family, but by Boxing Day common sense won and I got an appointment with out of hours

3 cancelled respiratory hospital appointments
Advice if possible please. Back on prednisolone after asthma attack / bronchiectasis flare. Sometimes it is just so difficult to separate the two. Lower lungs tight - fatigue horrendous. Was given Phyllocontin by consultant. 2 tablets made heart pound so agreed I tablet daily. Stopped after month horrible

New asthmatic feeling fed up and unsupported
Hi there, First time posting and don't really know where to start. Was diagnosed with asthma in the spring/summer this year after never suffering with my chest before. Originally they thought it was seasonal as also had a bad bout of hayfever (never had this before either). Had quite a few weeks of

Embarrassed to be so eager to be diagnosed with asthma
I don’t think other people can understand how unsettling it is to not have a definitive diagnosis and plan of care. When you break your ankle, you have an X-ray, get a cast, use crutches, heal in a set number of weeks and everyone knows and it is easy to explain. As I’ve been bounced around to doctors

Salbutamol/ventolin asthma
I think doses/puffs can be confusing as it depends on what strength we are discussing Ventolin /Salbutamol (blue inhaler). I take a 200 microgram Salbutamol turbohaler. Even having asthma in the family it took me 4 years from my first asthma attack at 15 until I was finally diagnosed at 19. I have

Confused and looking for advice please :)
So this question is mainly aimed at people who have a mild form of asthma I guess. And I know that I've asked a few questions before and gotten advice based on it but just wondering if someone has been in this situation or what I could do. Thanks in advance. Trying to keep this short...and failing ;

Flu Jab?
So just been to my GP who has put me on a course of steroids after that nasty cough/cold bug doing the rounds has hit and I haven’t been able to shake off for the last two weeks and as a consequence has set my so called seasonal asthma off! So been back on my Clenil Modulite as it hit my breathing straight

Reasons To Be Cheerful
Reasons To Be Cheerful (and greatful) this Christmas. Thank You Sir David Jack & Team Don’t recognise the name? You (and me) owe this guy and his Team ‘Big Time’. New asthma team
I used to be on this forum under a different pseudonym so hi again! My asthma seemed to be going well; until last week, my last attack was ‘just’ a severe one back in August 2017. Caught it early, out the same night. In March this year, I stepped my Seretide inhaler down from 250/25 (2 puffs twice a

Two Asthma Attacks in the space of Two Months—Should I be concerned?
Before I get into this whole thing since I am new on this forum, I just want to start off by saying that from birth I was quite sickly. I was born with malfunctioning kidney valves that taken two years to fix, had severe asthma growing up and my first asthma attack was when I was 8 years old, I had two
