New inhaler dispenser. Bit annoyed.
I picked up two new cannisters of salbutamol, except the pharmacist gave me
salamol
easi-breathe instead of normal metered dose ventolin. I wouldn't mind except I didn't realise what it was until I got home. I'm no good at taking MDI without a spacer (always but especially in an attacj) or DPI.

Need some advice about my daughter who’s 2.
She is also having 6 puffs of
salamol
a day. She also has amoxicillin once or twice a month. I really don’t understand asthma, I thought by her having the brown inhaler and the Montelukast it would prevent her from needing the blue inhaler.

Side effects of reliever
A side effect of my reliever medication,
Salamol
is it induces tremors. But I already have what they call 'Essential Tremors,' a nightmare in independent living and using
Salamol
exacerbates it. Is there a reliever which doesn't have this side effect please?

Can anyone here tell me if they get any benefit from their
Salamol
inhaler. They say it works after 10 - 15 mins but what use is that to us when we need it most.

Newly Diagnosed late onset Asthma
I take
salamol
fostair 200/6 and Spiriva inhalers everyday. I do not have an "Action Plan". I printed one out at the library and took it to my doctor so he could fill it out for me. He says I do not need one. He says dial 111 if I am unwell. Is this normal? p.s. I also have a duodenal ulcer

Dr refuses me Ventolin
I am allowed to take
Salamol
and Sirdupla as these are recommended by the CCG. However,
Salamol
is horrible, leaves a nasty taste, makes my throat sore and dry. GP still refuses me Ventolin.

Am I alone?
Just taken my
salamol
(using spacer) and, not for the first time, it’s like something hard is being forced down my neck into my chest.

Is Fostair as good as Seretide
I'm a lot better now but find that I need a puff of
Salamol
to clear chest after taking my fostair. I rarely used
Salamol
when on seretide. Is fostair the problem?

Another trip to A&E
The nurse who Triaged me gave me a nebuliser of
salamol
. Never had this before so asked a few questions. ( know that it's equivalent of 10 puffs of ventolin). Then sat there and waited for nurse or doctor. Did peak flow as requested perfect 510. Also had Ecg and bloods taken.

accepting the fact i have asthma, i cant.
activity due to my spinal problems and the medications i was on meant the problem with my chest was masked for even longer and at one point before i started a peak flow diary it was put down to anxiety. so i do my peak flow twice a day and record it best out off three attempts. so im on clenil and

I'm new here and being tested for bronchiectasis
Now, finally, I'm on asthma inhalers, beclametazone and
salamol
, and am being tested for bronchiectasis. I've had a ct scan, chest X-ray, and have to now have lung function tests. The X-ray showed my lungs to be darker at the top, than the bottom.

My mother has weak days with COPD, is this normal? Is there a remedy?
She takes Spiolto, 10 mg of steroids,
salamol
and a diuretic. Does anyone have a cure for these down days? I've told her that I think a lot of people feel like she does, but if there is any remedy, it would be good to know. Thank you so much for your support.

Time off work
I’m now back on doxycycline, prednisolone and have a serevent inhaler, as I was taking up to 10 puffs every 4 hours of
salamol
. I’m still wheezy and breathless and my peak flow is at 200-220. I don’t feel fit for work but am concerned about whether I can sign myself off again so soon! Any advice?
