The recent AASM Draft Guidelines
I finally had a chance to look at the recent AASM Draft Guidelines. I was surprised by a number of things. They should have had something between conditional for and conditional against. Why did they choose those particular things? Some don't even have much relevance to improving RLS such as antidepressants

Is there hope despite the pain? Is Cabometyx worth it?
My 63 year old husband LD stopped Cabo (Cabometyx) when we had Covid (because we took Paxlovid). Now he doesn't want to start up again because of side effects we believe are caused by the Cabo: jaw pain and numbness, body aches, tingling in extremities, pain in the shoulder joint emanating down his arm

looking for a neurologist
Can anyone recommend a neurologist knowledgeable in RLS in the Bristol/ Bath (England) area ? I currently have a neurologist whom I rate quite highly but who cannot prescribe opioids as they are not on the formulary of the hospital where she practises. She has however asked my GP to prescribe Oxycodone

LOL Iām popping on here, again, for your honest opinion and advice. I have been OFF all forms of treatment since the beginning of January (when I was told there was evidence that Ibrance and Anastrazole were failing). A brief stint with Xeloda (for 6 days...6 days of pure torture)ā¦and to tell you

iron lab results 10 weeks post iron infusion
I have had four iron infusions in the last 2 years. 10 weeks ago I received Injectafer 1000 mg with so-so results. I had seen a hematologist at my neurologist/Sleep specialistās urging out of his concern for my out of whack lab numbers. The hematologist was not concerned. I gave my sleep, specialist

Methadone
Hello, 3 days ago I started methadone. Started with 2.5 mg on the first night. It didnāt help my rls completely, so the next night I took a whole pill, 5 mg. From an rls perspective, working great. I am not getting breakthrough rls, which is awesome! But I am not sleeping well. I have many short

Thankful
My husband had his first chemo treatment of 275ml Docetaxel (Taxotere) on 1/11/24 at 2 pm. Thankfully he has had no bad side effects to it except for flatulence. He has not had to take any pain medication since mid day on 1/11/24. Before that he was having to take Oxycodone 10mg every 4 hours or

A lightbulb moment
I am currently taking 10mg immediate release Shortec Oxycodone at 6pm, 10pm and again when I need to during the early hours. I manage to get broken sleep which usually equates to 4 hours, which is better than I have had in the past. This works reasonably well, however, from early afternoon my arms

oxycontin
Hi fellow RLS fighters, Iāve been on several meds (pramipexole and Pregabaline) and after a few weeks or months I experience tolerance to the meds, the same with cannabis. Now on extended release oxycodone. The symptoms were first perfectly controlled by just half of the 0,5 mg pill which I later gradually

Oxycodone anxiety
After being on Tramadol for 8y and augmenting on it, my doctor switched me to a relatively low dose of 5mg oxycodone immediate release tablet. Iāve been on it for 5 months and it has worked well controlling my RLS. Also, I have taken it strictly as directed to the point of taking it at the exact time

Opioids for RLS- some useful information
Having put this in a recent Reply I thought that I'd add a Post to highlight the information from three key sources which may help members in discussion with a doctor: 1. "Where first line treatments have failed due to adverse effects or augmentation, low dose opioids are highly effective and do not

Nausea & Buprenorphine
As some of you will have seen from my earlier posts I had succeeded in blocking RLS (after DA augmentation 7 months ago) by use of buprenorphine patches and tablets but have had to take action against some very severe nausea which appears with both tablets & patches.I also experienced a similar nausea

Escape from DA Augmentation
Thanks to the support of several contributors to this forum and especially Joolsg, LotteM, and my patient GP, I have been able to plan a route which seems at last to be positive and I feel I should post a note on my current situation. I am 3 months+ since my last DA rotigotine patch and at which point

SE from ADT and two natural remedies I always use. Anger=kava kava, insomnia=wild lettuce.
Hi fellow warriors, i am sharing this because after being an herbalist and wild medicine harvester there are two absolutely essential herbs i use to counter ADT side effects. Be advised I make my own so cost does not factor into how much or how often i take it. The most important is wild lettuce (

oxycodone and anxiety
Ui everyone. I have been taking 25 mg oxycodone per day for at least 2 years which controls my RLS symptoms. I have just started having anxiety attacks when I first wake up in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions?

Oxycodone - the way forward or a dead end?
I have only posted here briefly once but I have been following this great forum for some time. My story is very familiar. Have had RLS for 14 years, was prescribed all the available RLS medication: Ropinirole, Pramipexole (both miraculous at the beginning) Neupro patch ( never tolerated it), Gabapentin

Oxycodone OR Bupenerole
I have RLS and have been taking the hell tablet Pramipexole for over 20 years. I am now down to 2.5 tablets a day 0.088mg at night. I also take 20mg Oxycodone, one in the morning and one at night. My biggest problem at present is that at certain times of the day, I am fatigued to the point where I cannot
