Berberine and Levothyroxine
Hi This is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about taking berberine with levothyroxine. I am currently taking 100mcg of levo daily. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes which I try and control with a low carb diet. However my blood sugar seems to be rising

Finally!
Back in July I had a response to a FOI, which I challenged. I sent out numerous emails to different NHS governing bodies. I met a brick wall. Today an email turned up out of the blue from my Health Board. It only took them five months. The complaint was that the blood testing for thyroid did not

T3 and Supplements
Hello everyone, I hope you’re all feeling well today (and every day ideally, of course!). I started a trial of T3 ten days ago. I was prescribed x3 5mcg a day but after years of learning and a lot of reading on here, I decided to take it very slowly and have just been taking 2.5mcg on wake up with

levothyroxine increase
hi, I recently posted with all my results and was advised that I should ask doc to increase my dose, I did that and he increased from 25 to 75, feel bit anxious and bit different, was that too much of an increase in one go or should I just continue and it will hopefully settle down?

Vitamin and mineral supplements? My latest results
Hi all, I've just had my latest Blue Horizon results (see image) which I would welcome comments on, particularly regarding the vitamins and minerals I might need to supplement. All blood tests were done no later than 9.30am, no levo for 24 hours before. I've worked really hard this year on my diet, but

Anyone taking Anticoagulants for AF, together with Alendronic Acid for Osteoporosis?
I've got AF and taking Edoxaban. I'm also taking Atorvastatin, Ramipril, Bisoprolol and Levothyroxine.I've just been told that I have Osteoporosis, which is a side effect of taking Letrozole for 5 years for breast cancer. Alendronic Acid can help osteoporosis, together with taking calcium and vitamin

HI, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2006, and Pernicious Anemia in 2011, although I do suspect I had the PA long before the date of diagnoses. I have been taking 50mg Levothyroxine since I was diagnosed and I now self Inject for the PA.

B12 or something else?
Hi About 2-3 years ago, during lockdown when it was difficult/impossible to see a GP, I started taking B12 supplements 3-4 times weekly. Whilst not wanting to diagnose myself, I felt I had little choice given the GP situation, plus my daughters are B12 deficient, and had the same symptoms as myself

Results and doctor visits
Hi everyoneOh the stress with these doctors. So I got my bloods done last week at 9.15 am. So I got extra done since I knew what to ask for thankfully because of your help here. Today I went back for results and honestly, it's like the light is on and no one home, the frustration. We don't test for

T3 as opposed to levothyroxine
yesterday I had a consultation with an endocrinologist. Told her my story of having issues with levothyroxine. The fact that the 2 different brands I tried made my original symptoms worse and gave me chronic joint pain. She looked at my most recent results and suggested T3 alone as I seem to have a conversion

Need some help!
Hi. I am a 44 year old woman. In October 2020 I had a hemithyroidectomy. First weeks I was doing great, but then my TSH started to rise and I started to notice hair loss of the outer part of the eyebrow at TSH 3 . At TSH above 4 I felt tired and my doctor put me on levothyroxine 50 MCG. Soon

Can of worms
I have always been grateful for all the help I have received from HealthUnlocked since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's some eight years ago. For the last few years, I have done very well on 100 mcgs of Levothyroxine and 8 mcgs T3 per day. I find a Keto, completely gluten free and almost entirely organic

has anyone tried Thybon Henning T3?
Hi all, I am seeing an endo (in sussex) privately and following my last thryoid results he suggested I would benefit from having 100mgs Levo and 20mgs T3 tablet a day (taking 100m levo with 10mgs together in morning) and then the other 10mgs later in afternoon. As I have never taken T3 before, and

Add a bit of liothyronine or just increase levothyroxine?
My results on only 100 levothyroxine is tsh 0.25(0.42-4.2) ft3 4.2 (3.6-6.5) ft4 16 (12-22) I have access to liothyronine so would be able to start low dose on that to add to my levothyroxine. Would you recommend starting liothyronine or just increasing levothyroxine?

GP not doing regular thyroid bloods.
How often should gp do thyroid bloods please? My main thyroid problem is fatigue, it’s not there all the time, comes and goes. So, I would like them done every 8 weeks, as I try different combos of Levo, T3 and Thyroid S, till I feel better. However, mine doesn’t do anything at all until I chase her
