as in I feel it is opening my airways alot more as I have been struggling to breathe for nearly two weeks. But still have a cough and alot of congestion in my chest.

Stepping down
I reckon that could be achieved by having one puff of
Qvar
100 and one puff of
Qvar
50 twice a day ? I'm really very new to this so would welcome some advice from ""old hands"" ! Anne

I am no further forward
Inhalers they have me on are useless (
Qvar
100 and Salbutamol) and last 4 weeks I have been so breathless and unable to sleep in bed so have been sitting up on sofa cat napping. Chris said today ' right that's it we are getting you to change doctor surgeries ' So will do that.

The doc says I can halve my dosage of
Qvar
to one puff twice a day for the next six months and then see him again for review. I'm really pleased :-)

Am I tempting fate?
I went to the Doctors' Surgery today and was given a new medicine - a '
Qvar
Easi-Breathe' inhaler which I have already used and I am breathing more easily!!! My son, David, telephoned me to say that he had an interview with Esso today and has been offered the job he was after.

Feline asthma
I was diagnosed with small airways disease, a type of asthma, last December and I've been on
Qvar
100 for that since which seems to help.

Confused about different strengths of Asthma Medications?!!
The GP after first admission put me on
QVAR
100, which didn't seem to make any difference, even after a 3 month period.

First nebuliser last night and I need some advice
I'm on Ventolin and
Qvar
100. Okay so since Monday to today (Thursday) I've been away on a residential. And last night I had a pretty bad asthma episode; the staff called an ambulance and they treated me with salbutomol and oxygen and discharged me at scene.

Symbicort
I have been prescribed Symbicort to replace my Seretide,
Qvar
and Salbutamol. However, I have just read the information leaflet and it mentions that the powder does not have a taste I was just wondering if anyone else is on this inhaler. How do I know if I have taken my dose or not?

Breathless and tight-chested all the time- but told it wasn't my asthma!
So I went to my doctor's surgery on Monday, and my dose of
Qvar
100 was doubled so I now take 4 puffs in the morning and 4 in the evening. However, yesterday (Thursday) I had an awful episode, I felt dizzy and my fingers and legs were numb and tingly from a lack of oxygen.

Fostair
I have had asthma for many years, taking one puff day and night of my brown inhaler
Qvar
(Beclometasone Diproprionate), with a puff or two of my reliever, which was a Brycanyl Turbohaler.
