I had a follow up CT scan of my lungs the other week and saw my respiratory consultant today re my small airways disease/type of asthma/CV asthma. The results of the scan show that my lungs are much improved with much less air trapping. I'm also coughing much less frequently and very much less forcefully. The doc says I can halve my dosage of Qvar to one puff twice a day for the next six months and then see him again for review. I'm really pleased

Yes I'm really pleased, not just because I feel better but also because I have so many other health problems including osteoporosis and, although inhaled glucocorticosteroids do not have quite such an adverse effect on bone density that oral steroids have, nevertheless they can still lead to lower bone density which is a bad thing when you already have osteoporosis ! So I'm glad to halve my dose of Qvar
