Help Getting FEV1 Percentage From Liters
Hello, this is probably pretty simple for some but quite confusing for me. I have a Microlife peak flow meter and it does give the FEV1 but it does it in Liters and not percentages, which is the standard I can understand most. For example it says PEF is 447 Liters and then says my FEV1 is 2.77 Liters

Air Trapping? PLEASE HELP
So my FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, SVC, Diffusion Capacity, and TLC are all NORMAL. My FEF 25 - 75% is abnormal (76%), my RV is abnormal (3.03L 169%), and RV/TLC (36%)..... My doctor said I have air trapping and mid air flow is abnormal. The pulmonologist said I may have mild asthma. What is air trapping? Should

PVC’s during AF?
He has never been diagnosed with AF, but he has just had an ECG showing a irregularly irregular heartbeat with a significant amount of
PVC
interspersed within the irregular normal beats. The GP said he wasn’t sure if he was in AF due to the number of ectopics!

Is my loop recorder working it’s way out?
Hi all, I’m new here, I have a question I’m hoping you can help me with. Got my St Jude implant just over a month ago. It’s a neat piece of technology that works with a smartphone they gave me (it communicates via Bluetooth with the smartphone and the phone sends data to the cardiologist). Really glad

Weaning off Flecainide
Hi all, I am new to this group and looking for any support to help me understand what to expect while weaning off of flecainide. I have been reading some of the posts, and I wonder why my EP ever put me on flec to start with. Anyway, I have been taking 50mg flecainide 2x a day along with 2.5mg Bystolic

Post ablation weakness
I had my second heart ablation on Tuesday for bigeminy / frequent PVCs . I had a post op groin bleed and almost fainted 6 hours after the procedure - i am home now but feel extremely weak, tired and a bit dizzy when I am upright . My resting heart rate is currently 56-60! I am sure I can still feel palpitations

Got to wait 3 weeks to see a

Is COPD progressive , interesting study
I was reading the natural history of COPD, found couple of studies subjects that once you are diagnosed and you took care of the disease it doesn’t progress and in some cases it’s getting better. I’m very interested to know of your experiences if anyone saw an increase in FEV1 or decrease in the

Doubting my diagnosis of COPD.
I failed a lung function test two years ago and I have since received a bunch of conflicting information. According to the test I have low FEV1 and FVC with Over average TLC and 80 percent FEV1/FVC ratio with low DLCO. I have had a chest X-ray and one HRCT scan that revealed no abnormalities, and did

I'm scared and depressed. Help please.
Hi, my name is Susan, and I was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 emphysema. Found out from a CT scan of my chest. I was not surprised, because I have smoked since I was 20 yrs. old. I'm now 58. The nurse told me that they go by the FEV1 to figure out the stages. Mine was 2.09 and she said Stage 2.
