Newly anxious...
I feel alone for a lot of life’s new problems and issues...I’m also starting to feeling like
psychosis
may be a new issue I’m going through...and I quite possibly may have thyroid issues. Anyone else going through the same things?

Almost 2 years after PP
Hi, this is the first time I have wrote on this page. So feeling a bite nervous. I had PP in 2019, I then was hit with the depression after. I now feel like I am in a better place but, I still do not feel like myself. I stayed in an MBU for 10 weeks, when I was discharged I found myself having a glass

People of HU - Where are they now? Catching up with Emily one year later.
Psychosis
is the feeling that at any second an emergency will happen. You're in a very high state of anxiety and fear. You feel the world is unpredictable. And I feel for anyone that has experienced this.

postpartum psychosis
My partner gave birth a week ago but 3 days ago she stared acting irrationally , hearing voices, paranoid illusions, similar to schizophrenia. It took me 2 days to get anti psychotic drugs low dose from gp but no major improvement. Mental health are involved but no real support or diagnoses. I’m struggling

PP and my mum
My mum had postnatal depression with me in 1998 and postpartum
psychosis
with my sister in 2002. She hid it from midwives and medical professionals as long as possible as she didn’t want my sister or I to be taken by social services. She eventually got help but was not sectioned.

Appointment with psychiatrist
Been considering a second pregnancy, what plans can be put in place to minimise risk of second case of Post partum
psychosis
? Also experiencing residual anxiety could occasional medication be helpful? Just thought it would help to pose these questions here also

My psiquiatrist says that it is normal to go through a difficult period after quiting meds and she does not want to put me for now in an antidepressant as they can cause
psychosis
. Did you also have a difficult time after quiting your meds? And how long did it last?

Link between post partum psychosis and the peri menopause
At that time I did not know about the potential link between post partum
psychosis
and subsequent
psychosis
during the peri menopause. I believe this is a vital issue that needs further research and understanding.

Increased appetite on olanzapine
I was on 2. 5mg of olanzapine at 36 weeks pregnant as a preventative with no side effects , I went up to 5mg a few days after delivery, two weeks ago and I am Constantly hungry and craving sweet foods. I'm eating so much junk, going in the kitchen and eating 500 calories worth of biscuits, chocolate

Libido kind of problem
Hello there! So apparently my wife has issues with her libido. She never had issues with these kind of things. She was sexually active (wish she was a bit more 😂) and she was enjoying her sexuality. We never had problems with our sex life. So after she gave birth with c section she had her recovery

Help supporting a friend
She told me some things she's been experiencing and I guessed it was postpartum
psychosis
. She confirmed this. She's not told anyone else and told me not to. She's so ashamed and embarrassed. So I'm here, looking for advice on how I can support her.

MSK Researchers learn what's driving 'brain fog' in people with COVID-19.
In severe cases, it can lead to
psychosis
and even seizures. It usually emerges weeks after someone first becomes sick with COVID-19.

Medication query for relapse episode
Hello everyone - I’m struggling and suspect a relapse of postpartum
psychosis
or in perhaps another episode of
psychosis
if it is considered that after 19mths since my 2nd episode of PP. I’ve started on lorazepam and sleeping tablets for the next few days while I wait to see a consultant.

Light at the end of the tunnel!
I suffered with post partuum
psychosis
and was sectioned for 4 weeks in a psychiatric hospital. I missed my baby's 1st Christmas. I was put on sertraline & had 4 lots of ECT, were they basically re start your brain. This saved my life & sure has helped with my OCD.
