ART Favorable Prognosis Adjuvant Androgen Deprivation Therapy A-ADT after Radiotherapy
I had sRT with a
PSA
of 0.13; my Dr considered this to be BCF (biochemical failure) given my pathology; I have always looked at my treatment as aRT as my
PSA
was not higher than 0.20, 6 weeks post RP (prostatectomy).

Abiraterone SE when added to Lupron?
I am a
PSA
=2, low volume, oligometastic HSPC. I got my first Lupron shot 4 weeks ago. I started to get a couple hot flashes per day in the last week from the Lupron and of course I expect fatigue to kick in over the next six weeks.

Gleason 6, 1 Yr AS, now Gleason 3+4
. , 2 yrs ago noticed
PSA
doubled to 2.4, last yr 3.5 so had MRI and urine exosome test, "liquid biopsy". Range is 1-100, less than 15 and you are ok, o/w suggest a biopsy. Mine was 48. Oh, the 3 markers in this test are for more aggressive disease.

PSA still low but cancer progressing
I've been on ADT plus Xtandi for about a year (see my profile) and my
PSA
has steadily reduced and stayed low. However, my latest CT scan shows that the tumours on my bones and lymph nodes are increasing in size and there are now a few small lesions appearing in my liver for the first time.

Health Anxiety
I had an elevated
PSA
in September - not past the limit usually set, but higher and my Dr's said they wanted to check further. I'm waiting for my 3rd blood test (a much more detailed one that the Dr. thought appropriate) and it's been 5 days. It's driving me nuts.

From the paper: Introduction The prostate-specific antigen (
PSA
) test is one of the most widely used screening tests for men at risk for prostate cancer (PCa).1 Recently, several advisory groups recommended against using
PSA
tests because of unsubstantiated outcomes.

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
Mr.Spouse was high Gleason, low
PSA
(3.38) at dx, 100% cores GL 9 with some 8s. Except for one brief uptick in ALP (63) in 2018, blood tests are always within normal range. Latest ALP a couple weeks ago was 43.

Do I need lymph node dissection?
Prior to LARP:

Advice for my husband, looking at treatment options
March 2023
PSA
2.6 August 2023 MRI showed increased activity,
PSA
rising, now ~3.5. Biopsy 5 out of 7 cores Grade 2 Gleason 3+4, with perineural invasion. In preliminary post biopsy conversations the urologist has suggested either prostatectomy or radiation therapy.

Radiation
My
psa
remains at 1.8 even though the scan showed a small tissue met to shoulder area (no bone). The met did not cause any
psa
increase. I am a bit gun shy on the chemo. Any suggestions? I am currently being treated at city of hope, irvine campus.

Medication after pluvicto
My
PSA
went down slightly and then went up to 20.5. I will find out later this week if I will get the 6th infusion. What meds, if any, has anyone in a similar situation received?

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
PSA
tripled in the last 30 days (but still extremely low), after doubling in the prior 3 months. I was diagnosed with stage 4b (mets in multiple bones and nodes) ductal and started ADT 13 months ago. Nubeqa and Docetaxel (Triplet therapy) started 9 months ago, and finished chemo 4.5 months ago.
