Sipuleucel-T boosts survival versus abiraterone or enzalutamide alone in real-world mCRPC analysis
Real-world data showed that use of the immunotherapy sipuleucel-T (
Provenge
) during any line of treatment in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) improved overall survival (OS) versus treatment regimens that included abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) or enzalutamide (Xtandi), but

14 year journey
Next I did the immunotherapy treatment
Provenge
. Then I went on zytiga and xgeva. Next was the RA223 treatment. I was switch to Xtandi and firmigon and xgeva. My psa has been up to 44 and as low as .02. The last time it went above 40 I started the docetaxel chemotherapy.

Treatment after chemo - PARP inhibitor or immunotherapy trial?
I had
Provenge
in 2016. I have discussed the next step with my MO at MD Anderson. One option is a PARP inhibitor.

I've been thinking about my PCa and have some questions - would be glad for any thought or input
I did go through a course in Oct 2018 of
Provenge
- an immunotherapy - which he believed helped. I have had .005 and lower PSA for over the 2 years .
So my question: by using just an Oncologist - with excellent results - am I missing something by not going to a Urologist ?

Developments in the Continued Search for a Prostate Cancer Vaccine...
We have seen the development of
Provenge
which has proven useful for some and less so for others. The APCEDEN vaccine is being given in India and a gentleman on another forum had fantastic results with use of it over several years ( see posts by Fuzzman77 in Advanced Prostate Cancer ).

Is stage 4 in a 57 year old more dangerous than in an older man?
My docs are hitting me with Lupron/Zytiga,
Provenge
, SBRT to the bone mets, Xgeva, and eventually Docetaxel and Xofigo.

Is biopsy good from 2 years ago?
He’s on Lupron has had chemo (dox) Zytiga,
Provenge
and Radiation to prostate. Zytiga worked for eight months .02 then started rising. We have asked repeatedly for gene sequencing. She keeps putting us off. We asked for
Provenge
but she said there was better things out there but never said what.

Confused about treatment options
So just asking is it unreasonable to ask about the
Provenge
as the next step. Thank you

My Luck Ran out
He also told that because my PSA is still so low, I am really not yet a candidate for
Provenge
. Obviously if my nest PSA reading is higher, I am sure that my next step will be bone scans, gnome sequencing etc. I would love to jump to Darolutamide vs.

Lu-177-PSMA-617 vs Jevtana (cabazitaxel): which should I do next?
.,
Provenge
, Checkpoint inhibitors)? • Will PARP inhibitors enhance the cell-kill rate? • Is PSA the best biomarker of effectiveness? • What are the best radionuclides to use (e.g., Ac-225, Th-227)? • What are the best/most specific ligands to use?

Input and opinions welcome
The plan (Duke) is to have a
Provenge
treatment now, get repeat bone scan and CT after that, then probably start on Daralutamide depending on scan results. Comments welcome. Hugh

He has not had
