Then in 2017 Servier, who were manufacturing SR as Protelos decided to stop making it as it was no longer economically viable for them.

Hi, I'm a 56 year old who has been on the above med for a few years and found out by accident the makers are withdrawing the med in a few days (Aug 2017). My GP & Pharmacy were unaware until I told them. Anyone else caught out or did anyone get a notification?

Has anyone else taking Protelos for a long time found it stopped working? and I would be interested to hear if anyone has experience of another good drug, I don't want oral bisphosphenates, and was looking at Prolia or Aclasta. Thank you for listening.

Treatment with Protelos / Osseor should only be started by a physician experienced in the treatment of osteoporosis. Physicians should base their decisions to prescribe Protelos / Osseor on an assessment of the individual patient’s risks.

I just got a new prescription for my osteoporosis drugs and they have given me Risedronate sodium 35 mg to replace my old one Protelos. does anyone else take this and do you have side effects from it. I am a bit scared of taking it as the side effects mention liver disorders. X Linda
