Born in 1947. As a1969 college graduation present, complements of a low draft number, I served a tour in Vietnam, on river patrol duty. I was surrounded by defoliated trees due to the use of Agent Orange and I imagine I drank a lot of AO contaminated water. Fast forward to 2012 to discover I had

Starting my prostate cancer journey after radical prostatectomy. Looking for info, suggestions or recommendations on future treatments.
I had radical
prostatectomy
with lymph node dissection on 12/1/2022. I am on the road to recovery. The pathology report showed 60-70 % of prostate involved by tumor with extraprostatic extension present, non focal.

Next Steps?
Prostatectomy
May 2018; Radiation April-June 2019; Chemotherapy August-December 2019. Was on Firmagon (monthly) and bicalutamide until April 2021 when oncologist suggested I go off it as my PSA was undetectable. Bloodwork every month. Started to rise this summer. it is now 0.30.

low urine stream
I’m 12 weeks out or
prostatectomy
. I’m still experiencing a low urine stream. Not incontinent but difficulty voiding. Is this typical or unusual this far out?

Other Gleason 8 guys, I see in studies, research and in on going trials, Radical Prostatectomy shows better over all survival
On another site yana, ( you are not alone, a prostate survival story site) a site of survival stores all the Gleason 8 with Radiology
Prostatectomy
, have longer survival, some guys are still alive after 10, 12 years and I talk to a few that actually had RP after metastatic spread… There are now

ct/mri vs PSMA SCAN
i’ve already had a
prostatectomy
and subsequent radiation and a ADT treatment. PSA has now started to rise again after a year off of ADT and is at approximately 1.5 Psa. after 12 months of active surveillance. A PSMA scan was done when it was at .8 and found nothing.

Time course of radiation effects
My profile shows more details but in summary I have Gleason 4+4 prostate cancer, diagnosed 7/15 and treated with radical
prostatectomy
followed by pelvic radiation and 18 months of Lupron. After about 18 months off treatment new spread to sacral bone was found on choline 11 PET scan.

Rising PSA after salvage radiation
Diagnosed March 2018 (Gleason 7),
prostatectomy
July 2018. PSA rose to 0.1 by September 2020 which triggered salvage radiation and 6 months ADT. This year PSA began a slow rise from <0.01 to 0.02 to 0.04 and now is 0.06. Wondering if this is worrisome?
