Focal therapy ?
I'm a patient at MSK in NY, though I live in CT. Am an active healthy 80 yr old who is still working and runs on a treadmill 2-3 miles a day. Briefly, have been on active surveillance since Fall, 2019 with periodic MRIs, biopsies (Gleason 6), etc. Also have BPH (last MRI 95cc). Last Spring PSA started

Multi-Drug Combo May Be Best Against Prostate Cancer...I thought it was a known fact already!
"Combining two or three testosterone-blocking drugs prevents the spread of prostate cancer better than just a single medication, a new clinical trial has found." Dr Aggrawal again! https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/articles/2024-01-25/multi-drug-combo-may-be-best-against-prostate-cancer

Abiraterone, Prednisone, Apalutamide combo Improves Prostate Cancer Outcomes, Leaves HRQoL Unaffected
Oncological outcomes improved with the addition of abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) plus prednisone (AAP) and apalutamide (Erleada) after radical prostatectomy and did not significantly affect health-related quality of life. https://www.targetedonc.com/view/abiraterone-prednisone-apalutamide-improves-prostate-cancer-outcomes-leaves-hrqol-unaffected

Nerves taken
I need some understanding. A friend just shared that he had a G8 and a psa of 10.2. He had a RALP and the doc said the cancer was contained to the prostate. Then he said that the doc took both nerve bundles (R & L). How is the cancer contained but required both nerve bundles to be taken?

Firmagon vs Lupron
So, the question is what are the up or downs if switching from Firmagon to Lupron. I used Orgovyx until it didn't work, switched to Firmagon. Wanted either due to family history with heart issues. Dad, uncle's, brothers, all having issues. One brother recently having a major HA... But the convenience

Radiotherapy for lung cancer
After an oncologist appointment I was left deflated. I did know the risk of extra damage to the lung and possibly needing oxygen. She was talking like she didn't want me to try. At the moment they said I have 18 months to 2 years left and the Radiotherapy would give me an extra year . All of this is

Lymph node Metastasis
After 7 years, and multiple PSMA scans, my husband had a FDG CT scan and it showed what they quoted as “several” metastasis In the lymphs In the para aortic area in abdomen. Mum getting biopsy results tomorrow
Hi all, my beautiful mum is getting her biopsy results tomorrow (Friday) but has been told she has a tumour and there is potential spread to lymph nodes and that the plan will be chemotherapy and immunotherapy. She has had two x rays, a chest CT and bronchoscope/biopsies but no further tests just yet
