venesection couple weeks prior to that as was almost 43 then too so Guys asked to increase dosage Last month had my 3rd JAK2 Blood test and results back today and are 44.07 which is good news my question is could this be just luck on the day and results lower or is this a definite decrease due to Pegasys

I FINALLY got approved for Pegasys, and am to pick it up at the pharmacy by Wednesday. My question is does the first injection happen in the Drs. office, or at home?? Were you given physical instructions for how to give the injection?

I'm on Pegasys 135ml at the moment but platelets are 729 (going up) and not well controlled. The consultant suggests moving to Ruxolitinib and stopping the Peg, which I've been taking for 9 months now and doesn't appear to be effective.

I have an appointment at Guy’s in three weeks time to discuss changing from hydroxycarbemide to Pegasys. I have a few one week holidays booked for this Spring and Summer .

Hi everyone, I’m about to try Pegasys in a few weeks time on a weekly dose of 45. If I get any unpleasant side effects I wondered if occasionally it’s ok to put back the usual day of injecting by 24 hours if I had something special on the day of the injection.

I have MF and take 90mg of Pegasys weekly. I have called consultant and left a message as I am quite worried, and made the mistake of Googling. Thanks.

In spring 2023 my consultant asked if I'd consider Hydroxy or Pegasys to see if it helped. Being a relative youngster I didn't expect this due to age and risk. I certainly didn't expect Pegasys to be on the table. Like many MPNers we do our research. Even if it's years down the line.

I'm currently taking about 145mcg's of Pegasys and my neutrophils just dipped to .87 while my HCT is still in excess of 45. I've been at this dose for several months. HCT has been climbing by .1 or .2 per month while the other numbers continue to drop.

Hello, while on Pegasys do we still have to avoid or minimise sun exposure like on Hydrea? Or that's okay to hike in sunny days ?Just wondering as I live in Australia where most of the year is really hot and sunny. Thank you

Does anyone have any experience of losing hair with pegasys? The internet says it will grow back once the treatment is ceased, but as it's for an MPN we don't expect it to finish.

Dear friends, I came across a EMA document recently and found that Pegasys is applying for indication extension to PV and ET.

The 2 mentioned are Pegasys and Besremi and was hoping someone on the same could explain the benefits they believe they get versus the side affects (I understand the affects will vary from person to person).

It seems that a company called Pharma& (an Austrian company I believe) acquired the global rights to Pegasys in 2021 from F. Hoffman La Roche AG (Roche). They also acquired all of the existing stock of Peg at that time.

I began Pegasys and immediately had severe dry eyes in the mornings. Three weeks into treatment my vision worsened. I saw a retina specialist and have been diagnosed with macula pucker. Has anyone experience eye problems while on this med?

Hi Everyone, I live in Connecticut in the US , have PV (exxon 12 mutation) and have been on pegasys for about 3 years. I now am on an every other week dose of 45 mcg. I am in a Medicare Advantage program.

I’ve been on Pegasys for five and half years and my bloods have been largely stable apart from a dip in HGB to 116 which has now recovered to 123 in the last two weeks. Platelets hover around 300. Five months ago he reduced pegasys from 90mcgs once a week, to every 2 weeks .

I am really worried how will I react at 135 Pegasys. Has anyone the same situation like me? My hem dr. is not a MPN specialist.

My question is was he right to immediately double the dose as everything I've read about Pegasys says go low and slow as it's a slow reacting drug which shows it's effectiveness over time.
