Hi, sorry if this question is stupid but you've probably gathered from my other thread that I'm new to all this! I'm keeping a peak flow diary and under the graph it says that I should record anything which is likely to affect readings. Today I've noticed that I'm starting to get the symptoms that I

Been an asthma patient since I was 18 months old and spent most of my childhood in hospital, had a intensive care admission when I was 14 which I don’t remember but got told was very serious as I was ventilated and if I didn’t wake up at a certain time they were going to turn the ventilator off as there

Asthma Review with the asthma nurse
I went to see the asthma nurse today for my annual review, after asking all the usual questions about how my asthma was and what medication i was on. My currant medication is: Salbutamol Breath - Actuated Inhaler, Seretide 250 Inhaler 2 puffs twice a day, Montelukast Sodium Tablets 10mg, Loratadine

Hi guys, I haven't been around in a long while, but I supposed my asthma was O.K. for a bit, or at least I had other health and life issues to deal with! And then my doctors have been giving me a bit of the run around with some of my symptoms, but I'm convinced they

Really worried about my breathing / asthma - anyone with these symptoms?
Hey guys, Great forum, been looking for something like this. Basically here is my story: I'm 32. Had asthma all my life, but very rarely gave me trouble - only if playing sport etc would I get a bit wheezy. Smoked on / off for 10 years. Averaged maybe 5 a day if that, sometimes months without one

Different Treatment Across the UK
I was wondering (just out of curiosity really) if anyone else had moved house (particular South to North, city to country, etc. or vice versa) and experienced very different standards of treatment? I've recently moved from central London to a field 'op North... I finally got to see a consultant yesterday

What to do now
Hi Everyone I'm struggling a bit at the moment. I had colds last October, November and December! I needed oral Steroids in October but that was the only time I had them in 2011. In the new year I felt like I'd got a constant cold and the Asthma was playing up, especially in the mornings. My GP thought

Not improving as much as I should
Hi Everyone Just a quick query as I don't seem to be improving as much as I normally do after an exacerbation. I got a cold on the 5th March and immediately doubled my Seretide, but on the 15th March I needed to start a 5 day course of Pred. On the 17th and 18th I was admitted to A & E and given nebs

Asthma
Hi, I seem to have developed asthma in the last month or so. I thought I had a chest infection or something. My GP measured my breath strength with a peak flow meter and I was pathetic. I was sent for a chest X ray and given Becotide and Ventolin inhalers. Is there any connection with RA or MTX or
