pudendal pain and xtreme sweats
From researching, medications are mentioned, is it due to the
opioids
and is there a proper dosage to alleviate these wrenching sweats? Any input would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Nothing is helping and each time I call the doctor it's like he fobs me off because he will not give me anything with
due to past addiction but anything with
opioids
is the only thing that will help the pain.

Having difficulty getting a prescription for opioids for RLS
I have been to see my doctor and discussed the use of
opioids
with him and he is not totally against considering prescribing them and he told to see if I can find out how others in the UK have managed to get a prescription. He appears to feel that his hands are tied in relation to prescribing them.

Informative video on updated RLS guidelines
He explains the problems with dopamine agonists and RLS, talks at length about augmentation and how to get off the DA with the help of gabapentin, Lyrica and
opioids
and other pharmaceuticals. The presentation is directed to both RLS patients and medical providers.

We've tried Botox, acupuncture, prolozone therapy, migraine medication, prescribed
opioids
, chiropractor, massages done for many months, neurologist, ent. She's run out of hope and I don't know how much longer she can cope.

How to switch from pramipexole to pregabalin?
Neither the neurologist I have been to nor my usual doctor knows anything about tapering off or supplementing with
opioids
for refractory RLS. Would appreciate it if someone could help me with a taper schedule and suggest an opiod so I can maybe get some sleep at night.

Hello, I’m new to this community as my husband was recently diagnosed with MS.
We love our MS specialist but she cannot prescribe
opioids
for his breakthrough pain in shoulder. Went to a pain doctor who is trying to get him to swap from Baclofen to Tizanidine, which it took him months to adjust to.

Buprenorphine and constipation.
Is it better or worse than other
opioids
? As it is supposed to be the best one for controlling RLS and my Neurologist is going to ask my GP to prescribe the lowest dose in tablet form, I wish to hear from those who have tried it.

looking for a neurologist
I currently have a neurologist whom I rate quite highly but who cannot prescribe
opioids
as they are not on the formulary of the hospital where she practises. She has however asked my GP to prescribe Oxycodone and I have been on Targinact, and now Longtec , 3 times a day for a few weeks.

why docs don’t want to prescribe opioids for RLS….😔
With all the recent total panic by docs on not prescribing
opioids
, I thought I would just attach Andy Berkowski’s excellent piece on why we are often being refused
opioids
now and almost certainly in the future at least for sometime.

My response to the AASM Guidelines For RLS
Tramadol is an opioid and as it is mentioned in the discussion
opioids
in general help RLS. I could understand being conditionally against it as it can lead to augmentation.

The recent AASM Draft Guidelines
Why not all
opioids
as there are studies on the others including buprenorphine showing they help RLS. Why strong for IV iron and only conditional for ferrous sulfate? When the Mayo Algorithm says one should try iron first except in 3 conditions.

The RLS nightmare
In 2013 i was put on disability because I have flat back syndrome and it has caused chronic pain for over 20 years non stop 24/7 and I am addicted to
opioids
. On June 20th of this yr I received a dbl laminectomy on my l4 and l5 vertebra and the knife was removed.

Ropinerole augmentation
She is also good about
opioids
if needed PRN. BTW I am 70 years and my father developed neuropathy in his 80's but absolutely hated the sedative effects of Gabapentin. He and I have similar responses to meds in general, so I am somewhat apprehensive about gabapentin.

Feeling guilty for using pain meds.
I work 50 hours plus a week and doing everything i can to keep afloat. After trying every pain medication under the sun, unfortunately the only kind that gives me relief are
opioids
. My GP has been fine with this over the years but now wants me to reduce.

THIRD TIME LUCKY
He thinks I’m mad not to continue with Pramipexole and understandably he is not keen to give me
opioids
. But, he is starting to listen to me, so there is a chance. My question is this: what can I ask him for to guide me through the last weeks of tapering?
