Fighting for better Options
She also told me that I could not switch to
Olaparib
, another option I was entertaining. That I could not qualify and if Niraparib didn’t work
Olaparib
would not either. I am having another CT scan next Thursday, and a follow up appointment with my Oncologist two weeks later.

Has anyone participated in a Phase 1 trial?
I have 3c high grade serous ovarian cancer (diagnosed April 2013) and am BRCA 1 After initial debulking and chemo I had 2.5 years Ned (due to being in a 2 year
olaparib
trial I think) . Since then I have had several tumours shrinking back then growing again , staying stable then on the move again.

Olaparib or not?
However, yesterday’s news reports about
Olaparib
have made me pause for thought- would I be doing myself a favour by agreeing to taking it or should I leave the beast alone and see what happens? Any advice from those of you who have, or are taking
Olaparib
would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ladies Just seen this on BBC news. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-49111427 This doesn't apply to me as low grader and for BRAC1 positive OC only. (In saying that my oncologist has agreed to do a BRAC1 test even though only 1% chance BRAC1 positive in low graders) However its encouraging that more

New Chemo Regime
I have seen a lot of stuff in the media about
Olaparib
in the last couple of days, but nothing further about an article that I read in The Daily Mail online 25/7/19. It involves an intensive regime of Cisplatin and Etoposide, given on a weekly basis with strong anti nausea drugs.

Niraparib or Olaparib Question about progression
If not, I am planning to push for a switch to
Olaparib
. I still feel that I tolerated 200 mgs of Niraparib too well, and my cancer needed 300 msg thrown at it, so if I can’t switch, I want a higher dose! My appointment is two weeks away, but I still fuss over it... Thanks for your help, Laura

PSA Trickling up
Have been on a clinical trial combo of
olaparib
and cediranib for over a year now. Should this be concerning for me? Also can stress play a factor in PSA?

Approved Treatments for Triple Negative MBC Patients
Patients with inherited (“germline”) BRCA mutations may want to speak with their medical teams about taking a PARP inhibitor such as Talazoparib (Talzenna) or
Olaparib
(Lynparza), which are FDA-approved for HER2 negative MBC patients with BRCA mutations.

PARP Inhibitor Drugs Found to Have Hidden Talent
The investigators then explored how
olaparib
achieves this effect. One possibility was that tumor cells whose DNA-repair machinery was sputtering because of
olaparib
treatment would develop more genetic mutations and lift more cancer-related proteins, called neoantigens, to their surface.

Survival rates for having PCa and bone metastasis???
Now on
