Norpace?
Have been on Metroprolol, Propranolol, Diltiazem, Flecainide, and the doctor now wants to try
Norpace
. The EP thinks my SVT is vagally mediated. Anyone have any experience with
Norpace
? I have had terrible side effects with everything up to this point.

Can Sodium or Calcium Channel Blockers Worsen SVT?
I have failed
Norpace
and also Flecainide. The problem I am having is that it seems that these medicines are making the SVT worse. I have Atrial Tachycardia. I cannot find any information about this. Where can I get more information?

Anti-Dysrhythmics Making Atrial Tachycardia Worse?
Well, I tried the
Norpace
and it was a big flop. Not only did it give me daily Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, it actually seemed to make my Atrial Tachycardia/SVT worse and more frequent, with longer episodes. I made it a whopping week.

I don't know what to do!!
He thinks it could be from increased vagal tone but the
Norpace
doubled my SVT. I honestly don't know what to do. The meds are all worse than the heart issue. The ablations have been a failure. Unless I can get someone to do an ablation at night, when I am actually having the SVT.

Ablation vs med management?
We have tried Beta Blockers (which do not work as mine is vagally mediated), Diltiazem, Flecainide, and now
Norpace
. The doctor is not opposed to another ablation but wants to try at least a few more meds.

Discouraged
Have any of you been on rythmal (
norpace
) or tikysin. Right now I take metropolol which makes me sick if I take more than 25mg and 25 doesn’t seem to be helping anymore. I fear an avnode ablation is down the road for me. I’m scared and distressed.
