I'm new here and trying to come to terms with having experienced my first Asthma Attack this week :(!
The staff at the hospital were incredible - they gave me 8 steroid tablets, put me on a
nebulizer
and told me I was taking an acute asthma attack. It took another 2 nebulizers and 2 hours for me to be able to complete a sentence to speak properly to a doctor.

Inhalers.
He now has the
nebulizer
form of steride and ventolin, but still has inhalers. When he was discharged last Friday there was a note for the gp to check inhalers as the ones he's using has a increased the risk of developing pneumonia.

I have been in nearly constant discomfort since March when I had a very bad chest infection. My chest feels more or less tight and painful all of the time, there is a lot of swelling in my airways causing me bad shortness of breath; I also have burning in my chest; sometimes it it is everywhere sometimes

I'm Hoarse.
My saline
nebulizer
causes phlegm to collect in my vocal cords making me hoarse. I would like to find a gargle or diet to minimize this. I live in Sunnyvale, California, USA

Prednisone and lung disease
Also, I am trying to get her insurance company to approve a
nebulizer
for home use. She has an Advair HFA and an Albuterol HFA. For her COPD, is there anything else I could look in to to help her? TIA

Air purifiers. Are they any good?
Ive had asthma for over 30 years controlled most of time with symbicort salbutamol montelucast etc. I'm using my nebuliser more often as bad bouts of extreme tightness are more frequent. This latest spell of high pollen has really knocked me for 6 with another 10 days of prednisalone. I am fine with
