Reducing Bisoprolol
As many of you will know I asked my EP if I could change from Bisoprolol to
Nebivolol
because of my lethargy and breathlessness. He advised to try reducing from 3.75mg (which I have been on for 4 months after reducing from 5 mg) to 2.5 mg.

Betablockers Metoprolol vs Nebivolol
My doc is giving me choice re continue metoprolol or try " newer" betablocker
Nebivolol
. He says he hears less complaints about side effects with
Nebivolol
. My two concerns are 1. Price is much higher with newer drug and 2.

New member help
Has anyone any experience with
Nebivolol
? Good or bad replies would be welcome. I can't take Bisoprolol due to horrendous night cramps. I am only taking 1/4 of a 5mg tablet. Thank you.

Beta Blocker quandary
I realise that I’ll have to go back onto a beta blocker and have considered
Nebivolol
but I’m not sure that’s the right drug to consider as its mostly advised for the over 70’s and I’m 65 with no other health issues and not hypertensive. So do I continue with Bisoporol for the time being ?

Afib and exercise
The pills seem to be working quite well (Flecanaide and
Nebivolol
). I’m thinking of taking some light cardiovascular exercise as I’m sure making an effort to keep fit must be important? There are contradictory views on this so I’m interested to hear the experience of others.

A small (actually quite big) victory.
Today he agreed to try me on
Nebivolol
, didn’t have to discuss or press my case, just agreed to try for a month and go back to report on how i have adapted.

I blame Nebivolol 😃😃😃
It’s now nearly three months since I was changed from Bisoprolol to
Nebivolol
and got back my energy and ability to do more than very mild exercise without gasping for breath.

NEBIVOLOL AND THYROID MEDS
Hi I have just been prescribed
Nebivolol
for a very short burst of AF and atrial tachycardia. Otherwise the rest of the 7 day tape was normal. Originally Cardiologist suggested bisoprolol but I was on this drug several years ago and it lowered my heart rate too much so I was taken off it.

ivabradine (Procoralan)
He has taken me off
nebivolol
and put me on Ivabradine which he said is good at slowing the heart rate with less side effects than a beta blocker but then the cardiologist who wrote the prescription said people with AF don't tolerate the drug well quite often and to go to my GP if the AF increases so

Bisoprolol replaced by Nebivolol
The only thing I noticed was a slight headache in the first few days on
Nebivolol
. I know some members are interested in this change and hope you find this report useful. I feel better than I have done in quite a while. Long may it last.
