Gallstones and intermittent jaundice
Hi All, I've got a
Myeloproliferative
Neoplasm
which caused a blood clot in my portal vein and damage to my liver. As a result, every few months I get really bad heartburn and feel unwell for a few days. But then it goes away and all is well.

Two years ago I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called a
Myeloproliferative
neoplasm
. It means that I produce two many blood cells (platelets) and as a result I got blood clots, one of which was in the Portal vein.

ET or RT, that is the real question?
There is associated megakaryocyte nuclear atypia and increased fibrosis suggestive of a
myeloproliferative
neoplasm
. Consistent with but not diagnostic of essential thrombocytosis. Suggest BCR-ABL and clinical correlation to exclude reactive thrombocytosis.

Unclassified Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
Has anyone else been given a diagnosis of an Unclassified
Myeloproliferative
Neoplasm
? Originally my diagnosis was PV however was tested for JAK2 and EXON12 mutations which were both negative. I have had two Trephine Bone Marrow Biopsies, one of which indicated MPD features but atypical.
